This was one of the most unique campgrounds we have stayed at. Be sure to get one on the water. Yes you do drive a little way but we stayed here to go see 1000 islands, it wasn't crowded and we had a beautiful lake front with a fire pit. We enjoyed it very much!
There's a lot better for price
We were a late arrival, but our on water sunset sight was soooooo relaxing. The sunset was gorgeous. Did not use the bath house.
Level spaces, pave roads and quiet peaceful Want to come back and bring family
All the buildings were in serious need of of washing. Very buggy. Driveways are crushed stone raised up about 6-8 in. above grass making the sites very uneven. I don't know how they got such a high rating with Good Sam.
Ungodly out of the way. This campground is perfect if you want to park and sit. If you have a boat and want to fish, this is heaven. If you want to have off-site activities and explore area, this is not your destination.
Where else can you camp on a island? Enjoy a sunrise on one side and a sunset on the other side of the island. Preferred campsites offer a view that's indescribable. Sites are typical KOA standard: close spaced, level, gravel and a fire ring. Beautiful pool to keep the younger crew busy. They had a lot of flooding this spring, and still recovering. But it's still one of the best KOA Kampgrounds we have been to.
Great concept, but run down, nice sites on the water, shitty elsewhere. Had better for less. Everything needs attention, roads, buildings,
