Reviews for 2 Bar Lazy H RV Park & Campground

| Great internet

No frills for sure but for a night at $32 for full service you get super internet too.

| It's decent, WiFi is not

We selected this spot for the comments claiming great wifi, but it's pretty bad actually. Simply opening a browser and going to Facebook took minutes. But the sites are solid, great hookups, ok price. We paid $32 for a full hookup drive through. We've stayed at state parks that were $16 a night that blow this out of the water though so I'm a bit picky

| Convenient

Easy access for big rigs, towing. No frills, but good utilities and OUTSTANDING wifi.

Had a reservation for Friday 7-24, arrived 3:30pm, office closed/could not reach anyone by phone, no one to help us pick a sight so moved on down the road, very disappointed.

| This park is O.K. for a night of rest, but I would likely not stay again

We stayed four nights in early September and paid $39.00 including tax/night for FHU’s (50A). The park is conveniently located right off I-90 near the I-15 interchange. I had made the reservation by calling the day before arriving, but when I arrived around 6:30PM W (the after-hours manager) had no record of the reservation. It wasn’t a problem, as they had several sites available. But they don’t have a computer system, just a calendar to put the reservation on. I noticed at the office they have a Good Sam rated sign on the door, but only offer Military a discount. What’s up with that? Did Good Sam boot them out?? The check in process was O.K. and I was offered several sights in the back of the park (these were newer sites). No escort out, but was able to find a decent site that was not level, mostly dirt with some gravel. The grass was dead and only sparse weeds were growing. The campground was not well maintained and not at all “pretty”. You’ll find sites with FHU’s, 50/30A, dry, tent and teepees. The area of the park I was in seemed to be more for monthly guests or perhaps just longer term. The RV’s around me were pretty old and decrepit. Towards the front of the park they seemed a bit nicer. Also, on the night we arrived, the Wi-Fi at first was working fine and then for no apparent reason, it stopped working. I walked down to ask W what was going on and he told me that he believed that someone was Gaming and using up all the bandwidth. SO he shut the Wi-Fi off and was waiting for the suspected Gamer to come and complain. After listening to W complain vehemently about people not following the rules, I walked away in disbelief. The Wi-Fi was back on a couple hours later. For me, we didn’t have cell service, so Wi-Fi was our only option to communicate with the outside World. This park is O.K. for a night of rest, but I would likely not stay again even for a night, plus its WAY over priced!

| Reservations MESS

By user-5824570... on 2019-08-09.

Made rez on Monday to arrive Thursday. Young girl took my rez. Was uneasy about that so called next day but again got young girl. Asked if i could receive mail there and she said yes but when i asked for address she yelled, "MOM! What's the address?" We arrived Thursday, right behind another class A that said they made a rez with a woman that morning. The office was locked so we waited for the on site mgr to arrive. He said he didn't have either of our reservations and only had 30amp sites left. Upon my suggestion he called the one rez he had a phone # for and fortunately found they had canceled their rex with "the woman." Then after studying the scribbled mess of a calendar he decided he had a second 50amp site open. All sites are sloped and in full sun. Motorhomes have to put lumber under tires. One guy used the picnic table to step up into his rig! Voltage is an issue for some sites. Drops to 106v. Found out the owner answers the office phone at her home and many days doesn't come to campground. It's her 10yr old daughter that also takes reservations. They take reservations and then let the campground staff deal with the mess. Ok stay but wouldn't take my chances again in the hot summer.

| Ok for overnight

By user-6224100... on 2019-08-09.

Would not stay here more than an overnight .... but pull throughs that we didn't have to disconnect. Sites are gravel and then mostly weeds that the table is put on ... but, we just needed to sleep, so all was ok. Easy in/out. And the price was ok for 50 amp service.

| Meets Expectations

By user-5723601... on 2019-08-09.

There's construction going on at the 15 in the 90 so it's a little difficult to get to the park but doable and the park is a good place for an overnight stay bathrooms are clean and the price is reasonable

| Just fine for a stopover.

As of 7/5/2019 there is major construction underway at exit 22 which makes it an easy place to miss. It appears this project may be in the final stages. The park is gravel. Our couch was easy to level at the site we had. Other sites could be a little more difficult. Overall, I would return here for an overnighter. Not a bad place.
