| Just our kind of spot

By user-5871571... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2015-12-04 to 2015-12-05

On highway I-20 Eastbound exit 223, sparsely populated (3 other campers on Dec4), open field for the dogs to play, water and electric hook up, friendly owner, Jessy, and $20 a night. AND a train to lull you to sleep. We loved this place!

| Nice stop over

The people always make all the difference and these people are very nice. Very reasonably priced & quiet stopover for the night. Sites are level and easy to get into. There are a few shade trees and the view is quite nice, too.

| Tent Camping Available. Thank you!

I stayed here many years ago and was happy to see that it was still here. I don't have an RV so this review is for tent camping only. I have a Volkswagen Golf Wagon, and I was able to set up my tent. There are covered picnic tables for each site, shade trees, free showers, flushing toilets, and coin-operated washer dryer. There's firewood available for free upon request. Each site has its own grill. I disagree with the previous poster--there is a manager on site named Jesse. Nice old guy that made me feel very safe and very welcome (I'm a solo-female traveller in my 30s. I felt completely safe here). There were 4 RVs here at the time I came through and I was the only tent on site. It was very safe, very quiet, and very close to the Interstate. Stopped in nearby Colorado City for fuel and snacks. Would stay here again.
