Very nice rv park... Accommodated our dogs... Had a small dog park..... Everything is very nice and clean.....for such nice accommodations they should provide HOT WATER in the bathhouse.... To quote your sign at the dog park about being lazy picking up dog poop ...don't be "cheap," the world has enough problems!
A-frame should be the name. Beautiful grounds, very nice and knowledgeable check in lady. But the showers were like bathing under a water hose with a Long wait for warm water. Really need new showerheads & a waterheater a1/2 mile closer to the showers.
The RV park is 1st class and rivals RV resorts costing 40% more. The rest rooms and the entire park well maintained and very clean. All the sites are concrete slabs. There are pull through and back-in sites. The back-in sites are angled and have more than ample room for easy parking.
Nice park with all the amenities at a reasonable price. A little bit tighter than some similar vintage RV parks but easily maneuverable for big rigs. Only real complaint is that there are a lot of workers staying here and they have no regard for speed limits on park roads. It is a good overnight stopover fairly close to I-10.
Beautiful little bit of paradise. We stopped here with two other trailers and were pleasantly surprised. This park has been built to handle your big rigs. It is clean and well maintained. You can't go wrong staying here.
This is one of the nicer parks we have stayed in. Level concrete pads. Nice grass. Very nice & clean facilities and park. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Amazing adult pool facilities with 60" big screen tv and covered lounge area. Easy in and out. Also, one of the most reasonably priced parks, with these kind of amenities, that we have encountered. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this park.
cement drive, roomy layout, exercise room with 3 tvs, 2 pools- one for families, one heated with hot tub for adults, fish cleaning station. Fishing requires no license cuz on private land. On the start of the Creole Nature Trail and close to excellent Cajun food. Highly recommend over one a mile away.
Great stopover - stayed only one night in early Dec passing thru but will stay again. Connected to a motel and check-in is at front desk, so you have that 24-hour front desk person to call for questions. All concrete drives and level pads - my auto jacks barely moved. And quiet too. Seemed to be a lot of construction workers who all left before dawn; may have been a local project, but the entire park filled up thru the night so best to call ahead. Greatest thing about this place is that you can KEEP the catfish and bass you catch from the pond (within size limits of course), so bring your poles!
Nice place but I won't return due to rude elderly female employee with long ponytail scolding me for her mistaking my female dog squatting to pee vs. poop. I asked her to come see and she declined , rudely said OK and stormed off - I wouldn't have her work for me - bad caustic attitude
This has the right name A+ it is a great campground clean nice quiet Staff nice friendly & helpful. Lots large & good pull thru. We were only staying 1 night & stayed 2. Only $35.00 w/good Sam's beautiful lake
We stayed there last night on our way to Texas from Florida. The level concrete slabs and full hook-ups (including cable TV and strong wi-fi) were appreciated! There is a well-equipped fitness room (which we used) and an adults only and hot tub (which we did not use) and clean restrooms/showers. For the money, great deal...but getting there off I-10 westbound is a nightmare! The roads in Louisiana seriously suck!
We stayed only one night at the A+ RV Park and Motel (right next to A+ Self-Storage) in Sulphur, Louisiana. I had very low expectations of the park, but the pickings in the area were few and far between and my first choice was full. Well, those expectations were met and then some. We had a very level concrete pad, so since we were just overnight, we didn’t need to unhook the toad, one less thing for the “wonder husband” to do. It had been a very long driving day, so to unwind we hit the gym which was pretty remarkable and the best we’ve seen so far. Three treadmills, two ellipticals and both a full set of free weights plus a multi-function machine – like I said, it was both comprehensive and useful, including TV’s, music, and a few comfy chairs to rest between reps. Plus the gym is right next to the bathhouse. We did not use the bathhouse or laundry, so I have no opinion on those. One of the best features of the park is a man-made pond, stocked with catfish and bass. My husband was sorry we weren’t staying another day so he could do some fishing. Lastly, the other big pluses are good cable and really good wi-fi. Of course it doesn’t hurt to be right near a cell tower, but they were sprinkled throughout the park so it seemed they “got it” on the wi-fi issue. On the cons, the dog park was muddy, off in a corner and even with overflow parking nearby, some folks felt fine with clogging up the “lanes”, making it difficult to maneuver our class A and toad. And the adults-only pool looked dirty (but on the other hand, I saw a guy picking up single pieces of trash and cleaning grills the next day, so this pool issue just may be because this isn't the time of year when it gets much use.) All in all, a great park! If we're passing through again, we'll be sure to spend a couple of days here.
Nice level sites. ..but couldn't use the dog park, first...they have the land to make it bigger (medium size dog really couldn't run and stretch the legs out) second...it was flooded, the dog came out all wet and I lost my sneaker leaving the park. Use the larger laundry room to do wash, the dryer that do work in the sm laundry room cost $3 not $1.50...because the first hour didn't dry. & the hot tub was freezing. That was my experiences, but my husband liked the level concrete pads, and the people were nice.
Stopped here for an overnight while heading to FL. I was given a concrete FHU pull-thru site with a very nice grass picnic area (69). The site was large enough to accommodate my 42' 5th wheel and stay connected to my truck for the night. The place is immaculate all through the park. I used my dish for television even though they had a good selection of cable tv channels. The wi-fi works, but is slow. I would stay here again.
We stayed overnight and found the staff very pleasant and helpful. Sites are level and clean. We will return any time we need to stop in SW Louisiana. It's a very nice park that's big rig friendly. Most sites are pull throughs.
This was a nice clean park. It was easy to get in and out. The concrete level sites were great we did not have to disconnect. The people were friendly.
I've called their number numerous times and didn't get an answer or recording. I sent an email days ago and still no response. They must be so busy they don't need more business.
We made reservations based upon the reviews in PVParky , but were a bit concerned on the drive in as the area outside the park is not exactly attractive. "A+" is the right name, however, the sites are level, wide and even have some grass. The restrooms were very clean and the Wi-Fi was among the best I have experienced at an RV park.
What a great park! Clean, good electric and water. Wifi was a bit slow but they said that they were doing an upgrade on the system. Easy in and out. Very helpful at the front desk.
Stopped in our way from Florida to Texas. It was 9:30 at night and they still answered the phone. $40 a night includes tax. I like that because others advertise less and after the add ons and tax it is over $40. Really nice campground. Was supposed to stay one night and decided to stay two. Large pull thru sites, 2 pools, decent wifi, work out room, stocked pond for fishing and you don't need a license since it is on private land. Had donuts and coffee in the mornings for guests. Friendly staff. Getting there from i10 was easy but the roads in this state need some work. Would recommend staying here. We are traveling in a 40ft bus and towing a jeep. Definitely one of the nicest non resort campgrounds I've ever stayed at. Great value for $40.
Fully stocked fishing and, pool with shallow area for the little ones, and reliable hook ups. WiFi could have been faster, but it's camping after all. Friendly people, quiet park and convenient location.
This was our second stay at this park (last time maybe 6 years ago). It is a well maintained park - very clean. There are lots of restaurant choices close by and the front office gave us good recommendations! We'd stay here again for sure.
We stayed here in a motor home while attending our grandsons baseball tournament. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. The park is well maintained and the people are friendly. We will definitely stay here again. Cindy - TX
Very nice park. All concrete roads and sites. Picnic tables and nice clean restrooms and showers. Family pool was closed but adult pool was ope, but a little chilly. the hot tub was fantastic, clean at 101 degrees. Even tough we only stopped for one night we used the jot tub the first night and the next morning. Fairly roomy sites with good wi-fi and great cable. Would definitely recommend for a one or two night stop over. g.
Friendly staff! Easy check-in. Everything paved. People were friendly. We liked our spot near the water because of the noise from the fountain. Kids enjoyed the kids pool (so did we). We were a little bummed because the adult pool and hot to. Weren't open yet. Still worth the 5 stars!
Beautiful, clean, very well maintained. Nice staff. Fishing pond, two pools, gym, laundry, trash pickup, pavilions. Wide patio area, table, some trees. Good Sam discount .
Very nice park, friendly host, all concrete spots able to handle big rig with tow car. Table and grill and some young shade trees and nice full hook ups. We like and would return.
