RESORT is hardly the term is use. No paved sites or streets. Very tight pad areas. Rusted tire rims for fires. People were friendly and lake area is nice.

I stay here often. It is only an hour from the house. Park is well maintained and lots of grass, trees, pond, and awesome regular campers. Abita Springs is one of the best small towns to visit with a paved 40 mile plus paved biking trail and brewery.

Members only park! The drive in through town was a little tight with narrow roads and low-hanging trees, as well as the turn into the Resort, but it was smooth sailing from there! The customer service was superb, with the staff (Tom) riding you around on a golf cart to pick out your own 50amp FHU site! The manager and front desk clerk were superb and pet-friendly, providing a goodie bag for our pup (nice touch)! The roads a spacious and easy to maneuver into sites (some pull-throughs, most back-in), with shady trees and serene views. There are 2 clean bathhouses with restrooms, showers and laundry, 2 playgrounds, a small dog run, 2 ponds and 1 large lake for fishing, a basketball court, and an updated clubhouse with a nice, heated pool and hot tub. The drawbacks were the Wifi was not very speedy, no cable TV (but 29 antenna channels), no paved roads, no concrete slabs, no tennis/pickleball courts, and they could expand the dog area. There are lovely nature trails and Abita Springs is a cute little town. We would love to return!
