Nice park pleasant and friendly people
This park gets better every week. It's wonderful to see all the improvements the owners keep making. New facilities, grounds - keeping, etc. It's located close to LAFB for the BMT graduations and offers an easy drive to all the citywide attractions. The sites are level and roomy with easy access off I35 and 1604, Gated and secure. I would have given it 5 stars if the sites were paved instead of stone.
JS We were in a small tear drop. Pop up spots near the bathrooms. There were cows we could feed across campsite. Every night we had a dozen deer in the campsite. River down the road. Horses and chickens too. Very quiet despite being busy.
Planned to stay a week, but we were kicked out because of our dogs. Checked the website, made reservations, checked in, settled in for the week, all before being told we had to leave because one of our dogs is PART pitbull. Apparently San Antonio insurance companies don't like pitbulls, pit mixes, rottweilers rotti mix or dobermans but apparently snappy little dogs are fine. That would have been nice to know before they let me make reservations for a week and took my payment.....p.s. there's a dog recuse nextdoor that they are trying to get shutdown.
