The new owners have really done a lot to clean this place up.
DO NOT STAY HERE! We arrived about 7 pm and found a sign on the office door that said closed like many parks do after hours. We expected them to be open the next morning. At 8 am we had a knock on the door and was told that the park was closed for the season even though two other campers were present. He was polite but charged us $37.00. For $37 you get pit toilets with no showers.
Different amenities for different sites. Prices vary depending on the site you choose. It is more expensive if you park near the river for the same amenities away from the river. The owner did try to persuade us to stay in the more expensive sites by the river, but not worth it, in my opinion, especially since we have small kids. The park is beautifully rustic, and quite and secluded. No extras, though, which we were fine with. Wifi was terrible and mostly non-existent! Have to pay extra for bathhouse use.
