I stayed one night. Arrived just before they closed. No entry after 10 pm. Gate closes at night and opens in the morning at 8 a.m.
This place is beautiful. We stayed in October so just a few other campers. We will definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Galesburg.
In August 2018 I paid $31 for a 30A site with water spigots and a sewer drain. You need a 50 foot hose to reach the water spigots. The sites are paved or cement, but not very level. The area is heavily treed and it has nice views. I did not see many sites with a lake view, but you can walk to the lake via numerous paths. The bath houses are in need of updating.
Smaller, well kept campground located next to Lake Storey. There is no off-leash dog area, and they will yell at you for playing frisbee to exercise your harmless, well behaved dog.
