good enough for just one night. the restrooms, showers, and laundry were great. Plenty of shade trees on both levels. No fire pits on the lower level. Located right off of I-90. the person who checked us in at the motel out front was not friendly. she reminded me of my high school algebra teacher....the one who smacked people with her ruler. Watch out for her. No warm welcome in Murdo from her. and personal note to Mad M at the motel: you insisted that the make of my trailer was DutchmAn with an A. I told you it's DutchmEn with an E ......and the sign in your laundry room says, "Do no leave laundry unattend". Boom!
Good overnight park. Close to I-90 and restaurants. You have to check in at front desk of the American Hotel. Park is located 1 block downhill, south, of motel. All spaces are pull thru's, including larger spaces on top of hill on asphalt. We camped at American RV Park & Kamp in a Fifth Wheel. Restrooms and showers were roomy & clean. Entire campground is well maintained.

Stayed 1 night while passing thru. Easy access from interstate. Concrete, FHU, pull-thru site on the upper level was level and CG was clean. The lower level sites are grass sites with wat./elec. Walking distance to grocery store and restaurants - very small town. There is a Pilot truck center, which makes it convenient to fuel up before traveling. The pool had no water in it. No cable TV, but WiFi was good.Couldn't get over the air TV reception with our upgraded antenna, so will need satellite if TV is desired.Plenty of space to walk the dog. We would stay here again.
If you are just looking for a place to park for the night, the American RV Park is ok. You have to go to the motel office to check in and we were confused by the signage of where to park our trailer and check in. We stayed in the lower section, and all spaces were pull through and that was nice. Each pull through spot only had one post of power and water split for two sights. The site we were assigned had our power and water on the wrong side of our travel trailer. Good thing I carry extra power cords and water hose so I could hook up. We stayed on July 29, 2017 and it looked like the grass could use some water.

Type of spots: Lower level consists of gravel pull through spots with w/e (30&50 amp), some back in. On the upper level you get sewer and a concrete pad for you extra money. All spots have a picnic table and wifi, although wifi only works in the lower level on laptops, not tablets and phones. We have a repeater we connect to our laptop that we use for our devices that works great. Big rig friendly: Yes Laundry: Yes. $1.50 wash/$1.50 dry. Shower House: Yes, very clean but older. # of pools: 1, but did not have water in it at the time we stayed. # of hot tubs: 0 Dog park: No but pet friendly Activities: None Wifi/cable: Free wifi but see note above/no cable Exercise room: no
This was a one night stop for us-not a "destination" campground just passing thru- very clean restrooms, clean laundry- 4 washers 2 dryers however one dryer was out of service. Upper level spaces are concrete, close together but nice. You check in at the hotel and the staff was pleasant. Easy on/off access to highway- went for a walk once we got settled and one of the locals thanked us for stopping in Murdo.
This place only had WiFi. No pool and no other amenities. Way too expensive!
