Reviews for AMERICAN RV PARK

| Pristine Park

By user-5837680... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2015-09-27 to 2015-09-30

A pristine park in the oasis called Albuquerque. Sites are combos of mainly level of asphalt/gravel, accompanied by concrete patio pad, table and many with shade trees. Premium sites are at the end of each row and have grass. Large gravel site section up front for big rigs. Spaces are wide enough and well maintained. Our buddies had problem connecting sewer (cap was mis-threaded/frozen)--they called and guy came immediately to repair the PVC hub. We were in the back section; still some road noise, but not bad. Beautiful stars out at night. Reservations require 1 night deposit, immediately charged to your card. Checkin easy and ladies even gave treats for our puppies. Dog park with supplies and ample walking areas. Good SATV reception and excellent wi-fi signal, best I've had on my summer trip. ARV serves free continental breakfast 8-10 am, which was very nice. We are thinking about staying longer and would definitely come here again.

Free continental breakfast, clean newer facilities. Safe, friendly, clean!

By user-5806755... on 2017-10-23.

Gave us a site that was too small after we disconnected from our 5th wheel. They told us we could move but we were already setup. Their solution was for us to park our truck in overflow parking. They asked when we made the reservation for the length of the trailer so they should have been able to better determine an appropriate site. It looked like they put the 1 night people in a particular area regardless of size.

Stayed here one horribly cold & windy night in November 2014. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We found everything to be first class. View of the city below was spectacular. Would certainly stay there again and again.

| No WiFi here.

By user-6362926... on 2017-10-23.

Park has almost no WiFi. No reason given except to blame Comcast. Will not be staying here again

By user-5140941... on 2017-10-23.

Nice big sites... clean and good laundry facilities. Didn't use pool but looked really clean. Only disappointment was doggy area....all dirt. However, lots of places to walk dogs. Would stay again if in area. Great wifi. Stayed 3 nights in a motor home.

| A recent stay.

By user-6552781... on 2017-10-23.

Park is OK I think if you would be able to stay in the older section not back or in the middle of the park. If you are in the newer section up front in the 200 range the road noise sucks horribly. Staff is good and WiFi so so. It has a mini store and breakfast so that's good. TV channels are decent but for us the reception sucked at times. You can get mail which is a nice feature. The main showers close for an hour and a half which isnt cool. I would give it 3.5 but cannot from the looks of the ap.

| Nice park

By user-6677470... on 2017-10-23.

Stayed one night nice flat lot no grass. But really clean and maintained Used the laundry facilities nice front load machine. Swimming pool was relaxing after the 100 degree heat. Office lady was extremely helpful. They have some one take you to your lot. This gentleman helped me straighten my trailer on the lot. Asked if I needed anything else then away he went. I could not hook up my WiFi oh well.

| Always nice

Free breakfast, clean, hot tub, pool, and friendly people. 35.00 per night, class c 32 ft with tow. This is the 3 time we have stayed. It also has laundry.

| Great Park!

By user-4832038... on 2017-10-23.

This is a wonderful RV park. New section easily holds large rigs. Nice pool and laundry. Free continental breakfast. Easy access to I40 and easy access to Flying J. Near Camping World and La Mesa.

| Great place

By user-5240040... on 2017-10-23.

The park is great! It has lots of grass and a nice dog park. It is very convenient to highway 40. We stayed here for over a week with no complaints. One of our favorite places to eat was the 66 casino. Its just one exit West The buffet was huge and they had a buy one get one special going on. It was only $6.50 to eat Mon thru Wed and 5.00 for seniors Thurs and Fri. Make sure that you stop at Old Town as well. Nice little shops.

| Great place to stay

By user-5865681... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2017-03-11 to 2017-03-20

These folks were very friendly and very accommodating. Any request I had, they took care of. The newer area for big rigs is level concrete and asphalt all around with nice spacing between sites. It is well maintained and clean. The restrooms and showers were nice and are kept clean. I didn't try the breakfast which is continental. I highly recommend it for big rigs. Stayed in a 45 ft Prevost with 20 ft. trailer and fit.

Nice park We were there 2 days and no wifi access. Called front desk and left a message with no return call.went up to front office and they said they know about wifi issue don't know when it will be fixed. If you need wifi don't go there. Pulled up and staying at Desert High campground . Nice park and they have wifi! Got on first try.

| Great place

By user-5456374... on 2017-10-23.

Of the 4000 miles with travel this vacation this is the nicest place we've stayed they've got us on a cement pad with grass right out our door all the RVs have plenty of room between each one for the pull outs the bathrooms are spotlessly clean in the showers are huge they're fabulous really nice pool nice gift shop with some food and they have continental breakfast we've decided to stay another night we hadn't planned on great place to rest

We only stayed one night but it was a pleasant stop. Reasonably quiet even though it's close to the interstate.

| Best in the area.

By user-5882699... on 2017-10-23.

There are only a few true rv parks in the area. This one has nice level lots and a nice pool area. I did not give five stars because the shower rooms were too hot, but they were clean.

| One night

By user-5798994... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2016-06-25 to 2016-06-26

Got a drive thru spot for one night and didn't need to unhitch 20' RPod. Showers clean; didn't try their wifi cuz we had our own Verizon which worked fine. Could hear highway noise from Durango#159 but it didn't keep us awake. Would stay again.

| Confused

By user-5886294... on 2017-10-23.

I don't understand what reservation with this company means. You call to reserve a site and they tell you it's not guaranteed. Is this really a way to run a business?

| Price

By user-5012569... on 2017-10-23.

Called and got a monthly quote for a space for 30ft bumper pull trailer w/30 amp , then the day I showed up she told me a much higher price than the week before when I first called. Bait n switch no thank you!!

| First Class campground

By user-5810898... on 2017-10-23.

Stayed here 4 nights during the balloon fiesta. Very clean and nice. Sites were a little tight but okay. Free continental breakfast. Would stay here again.

Good location, close to deisel station. Easy in and out. Left too early for breakfast. Was not, busy at this time. We were able to drive into Old Towne and tour around quite easily.

| Great Park

By user-5850489... on 2017-10-23.

We stayed here a couple of nights. Very nice level site on concrete. Breakfast was very nice touch. Staff was very friendly. Easy in and out. Quiet and clean. We didn't use the pool or Jacuzzi cause it was too cold outside. We stopped here in early March.

Stayed 4 nights! Likes - nice pull thru sites 200 section ! Breakfast everyday ! Nice store! Dislikes - non campers use pool and on weekend can not get in pool ! Hot tub old And kids in hot tub ! Pool and hot tub closes too early! Need lights in 200 section very dark ! Some staff not too friendly ! Others overly friendly!

| Great Park

By user-5471627... on 2017-10-23.

Super quite and clean. Well worth the money.

| Wyfy

By user-6274033... on 2017-10-23.

Have been staying here 2-4 weeks a year for the past 10 years. Wyfy was always one of the best in the country. Now no wyfy except in the office. Asked manager and she blamed Conquest had problems and whole area had none. Complaints started 1/16. So if wyfy is important to you I am sorry to say skip this campground. Giving only 3 stars due to lack of wyfy otherwise I would rate it 5 stars.

Right off interstate, clean facilities, free breakfast (first for us).

| Can't ask for more

By user-5801025... on 2017-10-23.

Love this park. Our first time here. Nice level, paved pads, cement patio with table, FHU, good water pressure, good cable, nice dog park and play ground. Bathrooms are nice (ones beside office are larger than ones in park), laundry was efficient and clean. We had a bit of trouble with wifi strength, but not sure if that was us or them. Easy on and off I-40. Some road noise but not annoying. We camped here for several days seeing Albuquerque in a fifth wheel.

| Very Friendly Staff!

By user-6308188... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2015-05-30 to 2015-06-01

Our family of 5 stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the campground. The Wifi was surprisingly good and my kids were able to download movies on the iPad's which was awesome! The laundry facility was very clean, and there were plenty of machine's. The pool was nice, but the jacuzzi smelled like a lobster tank. Free continental breakfast although we never got around to eating because we had our own food prepared. The staff was very friendly, and even helped us pull thru our site. I would definitely recommend this campground. It is outside of town, but it was quiet and perfect for our family.

| Nice rv park

By user-5297741... on 2017-10-23.

We showed up after hours and the staff made it very easy to check in. The grounds were clean. The park was quiet. Only complaints were the pool and hot tub close at 8:30. That is the earliest I have seen any pool or hot tub close at any park or hotel. Also, we were going to stay again on our way back from California but they inflated their prices to $70 a night because of the hot air balloon festival in town. Greed, at its finest.

| Well Planned and Managed

By user-5274741... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2015-05-26 to 2015-05-27

Highly Recommend. Very near Freightliner Repair and Camping World store. Super clean and well organized. Free breakfast is minimal, but adequate. Public spaces nice and open. This place has great street appeal. WiFi streaming is a problem. Laptop Internet was ok. They are still aware of problems because they mentioned it at checkin. The 10% discount for AAA, GoodSam Club members. No senior discount and military 'active duty' only.

Stayed here 2 nights enjoyed other campers company very friendly place to stay. Everyone very nice. Free breakfast was ok too. Especially liked all paved lots. Wifi was fine didn't like they didn't want you to use it for netflex or amazon streaming

By user-5908781... on 2017-10-23.

Very nice park. We stayed here for balloon fest. The sites are level, not too close . The staff was friendly and helpful. Nnice breakfast daily. Would stay here again

| No tents. No Prius. 12/2017

Just called. They said that would not accommodate me unless I had an rv with electric, water, and sewer. Disappointing. Listing needs to be changed.

Stayed overnight here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Place is well kept and clean. Great showers. Nice laundry. Wi-Fi was slow no movie watching here. But overall good value for the money.($39.) with CAA discount. We were late arrival and they called to check and give us the gate code. Excellent service! Would recommend.

| Great Place

By user-5280788... on 2018-07-06.

Enjoyed our 3rd visit here. Concrete level sites. Nice spacing. The drivers in Albuquerque are horrible! Watch out for people on their phones not watching the road!

| Nice stop

By user-4815921... on 2019-08-09.

Stayed one night. Nice park. Gated, secure, nice people. We were quite comfortable.

| Power issues

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

Low voltage in newer section. Office said "We're working on it." Tech that came out laughed when I told him what the office said. Older section is cramped; will not fit without disconnecting toad.

By user-5271568... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-04-06 to 2019-04-08

Staff friendly and tried to be helpful with issues which were- cable was fuzzy and/or no sound and Wi-fi was non- existent. We opted for this park because of those two advertised amenities. We stayed in a newer section with long pull throughs that were nicely spaced albeit not level front to back. Over the air T.V. allowed us to watch NCAA BB semi-final gmes. Wi-fi hotspot on Verizon sketchy. We were very close to freeway and noise led to wearing ear plugs to sleep.

| Okay for one night

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-05-25 to 2019-05-26

We usually stay at American on our way to the west coast. It's okay for one night. The good.. they have hot showers and the park is clean as well as the bathrooms. Also gated entry and exit. The not so good.... the playground is old and not kept up. The pool is dirty and while we where there you couldn't see the bottom of the pool.

| Great stay!!

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-06-12 to 2019-06-14

This was a very well maintained park. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay near Albuquerque. The staff were very kind.

This is our go to park anytime we're in Albuquerque. There's literally ot a thing to complain about. All paved and landscaped. WIFI is great. Good clean rest rooms and showers. All amenities. Used Good Sam discount.

| Excellent

By user-5918728... on 2019-08-09.

From the moment you arrive, you feel special. The staff (mostly work campers) take pride in the park and guests. The lots are spacious and have tree shade. The only thing which would improve the facilities is raising the toilets to seat height. They are tiny low down .... .....
