We had seen several bad reviews, so drove through to look. There are several sites with new concrete pads. They only have 30amp, but have requested funding for 50amp. Located next to the golf course. Clean, functional. We will stay here next time we are in DC.
Unfortunately, only two (2) RV sites are available for recreational camping. The rest are used for contractor 6 month stays! Has MWR gone over to the dark side?
Other comments are accurate but still a great place to stay and we do so twice a year when visiting our kids.
This place is run like a prison camp. Signs everywhere telling you what not to do. Kids can't even go into the clubhouse to play ping pong without an adult. You will get a note for leaving the slightest thing outside. They want your camper to look like it's vacant. Road along the front is LOUD in the morning. Will definitely pay more to stay somewhere else.
We have been here for a few weeks and love it! Nice folks and decent facilities. They are shutting down in October to make improvements, otherwise we'd stay longer. Only complaint is that the wifi is terrible.
