Lots of mining roads are confusing. Very scenic area with hiking trails.
I would have given this fantastic place 6 stars if the road in was better. It is about 6 miles of washboard dirt road but once you get to the top, the views and peace/quiet is exceptional. There are only about a dozen camping spots and I lucked out to get one along the rim with views of Angel Peak. There was a fire ring and picnic bench too. I traveled in my 33' motorhome and towed a trailer. They have pit toilets there as well.
