| very basic but decent

they have one camp site with 23 spots. no hookups are available so come with full water and everything you need. beautiful scenery with wild bison and other animals (we only saw the bison). park closes at night so you cannot leave the island. there are lots of gnats/no-see-ums and mosquitoes but not so bad that you can't deal with it. however your tv will get covered with dead ones from the drive! lots to do in terms of nature. sites have a picnic bench and grill and are covered. pretty level parking too and they're decently spaced out. they have vault toilets too if you need to use them and they're pretty clean but no water to wash hands. tenting is also very feasible. amazing sunset and moonrise!!!

| Great place to camp

We like to go out each year to camp here. It’s best vamping early in the season not many bugs to deal with. Past May the bugs can be a bit much. If you get one of the lower sites they have awesome soft sand for your kids to play in.
