Nice park, everything working and in good condition. Noisiest campground ever, trains on one side, traffic on the other.
This is a nicely kept up park with good infrastructure. Sites are gravel and are nice and level. The problem is the train tracks for a busy mainline are only 50 feet from the sites. The trains are so close the ground and the motorcoach shook pretty good while the freight trains and about 50 cars passed about once an hour all through the night.... The park is only 3 miles from Historic Williamsburg, so with ear plugs you might get enough sleep to justify a nights stay...stay more than two days...not me again...
This is a well maintained campground with clean bathrooms ( but only 2 showers) . The location is mostly ideal except for the active train track. If you are a light sleeper, this is a major problem. The train runs 3-4 times at night. The staff is terrific and helpful.
