Reviews for Apple Creek Family Campground & Lodge

| Nice park but no sewer.

We we able to get two night at 1/2 rate with Escapee membership, and two at regular price. Also would do the same for Passport America members. We have a nice pull through lot in the "new" area. Heard the honey wagon comes twice a week, hopefully.

| Don't go on a weekend

We spent Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was PACKED with tents and kids and dogs everywhere. There are only 2 pull thru sites NO SEWER, No doggy park. By Sunday the tents and kids and dogs were gone and it was much quieter. Lots of trees, be ready for the fresh smell of a feed lot and dairy close by. The roads all have potholes, the spaces are not level. We Paul full price for Saturday but with "Passport America" we paid only half for Sunday which made us feel somewhat better about the situation. Close to Green Bay and easy to navigate into the city.

New area has several pull throughs. Nice gravel pads. Certainly upgraded since that negative review below!

| Roomy for a private CG

We like that there is a lot of room for the kids to play, they have a nice pool and play ground. If you want to be on the pond, they have several sites available, they also have many sites sites further back with a little more privacy. We have always enjoyed it there!

| Not a happy camper.

This CG does NOT have any full hookups and still charges $40 with no discounts offered. I only stayed because I was expecting a package. There are potholes everywhere and the sites are in desperate need of gravel. Although I requested a back-in site and many were available, I was given a pull-through near the dump station with standing water everywhere after a rain. There was a puddle three inches deep at the bottom of my steps. The fire pits are just two-foot deep holes in the ground, several of which have to be serious liabilities. My site 212 had very little grass and was too muddy to enjoy. There is NO designated dog area so walking them was awkward. This old and cramped CG seems to have plenty of nice sites for their seasonal visitors but place no value on the overnight guest.

This Campground is split up into two distinctly different campsites. The main campsite (lower area) is your general use and standard type Campground with pool and a general store. The campsites are kind of crowded a lot of older type RVs are parked there as well as many seasonal RVs. It's got a rundown feel but it serves the purpose. Not a great vacation spot. It's very close to the highway and not any amenities like trails/hiking to do around the campground. Also not much to do outside of the campground. The upper Campground is separated by a creek and no kids are allowed which is a huge plus for people who don't want kids around. Perfect for business travelers staying for a week on a month at a time. It is mainly for large rigs as it has many pull thru sites. It is actually a very nice Campground for staying with your large unit. Water hookup, 50 amp and good open spaces for Satellite reception. They also come and drain your tanks weekly.

| Wonderful, friendly & helpful!

We stayed for several days in May 2019. Friendly, and super nice staff there. Nice showers, 25 cents per 3 minutes. Hint: use first 25 cents just setting your temperature right. Lots of activities for kids. We were up on the high road which was nice and quiet.

We stayed 3 nights. Owners were very friendly and helpful. They do a wonderful keeping the campground running smoothly; activities on the weekends. We stayed in the outer lot which is quite nice and peaceful. Will definitely stay again.
