During a cold evening our water was shut off in order to protect their spigot from freezing. No notice. No knock on our door. While we were in our rig eating dinner at 5 pm, the owner shut off our water, disconnected our hose, removed my nice brass gated Y, and PADLOCKED OUR SPIGOT SHUT until 10 the next morning. No washing dishes, no showers, no toilets, no warning. Avoid this place.

Barely able to shower. Go elsewhere.

| Rude owner, refuses to fix anything

We had an issue with our water being shut off for 5 days off and on, we asked the owner and he hooked us up to the next site. They continued to unhook or shut off our water and random times without any notice, when we went to talk to owner about it (nicely and professionally) his response was " I can tell you won't be happy here so I made the decision for you, you can leave now" . I'm a travel nurse and had to work that night! I asked him if I could stay 24 hours so I could at least sleep after work and find somewhere to go, he said that he wanted me gone by morning and was being "nice" because he legally only had to give me an hour. I would not even give this place 1 star, the sites are near impossible to get into, they did construction at park until 9 pm some nights, and the owner is very inconsiderate!

| NOT big rig accessible

25% grade at entrance, roads so narrow and turns so ridiculously tight, we had to look at 5 sites before we found one that we could get to. 60 ft sites were useless because the flat area was only 20 ft long, then a sharp drop downhill made it impossible to find level on our rig. If you are over 30 ft, go elsewhere.

| Rude hateful owner

The owner is a dishonest crook. Likes to turn off water supply and then when you complain he kicks you out and won't refund your money!! Stay away!!

| Very welcoming owner, forest area in city

We had a very enjoyable stay at Aquia Pines. When we called we asked about the rate - rates seem so high near the DC area. They were willing to give us a discount since we didn't need a full service site. We were pleasantly surprised to find a forested campground in the middle of a city area. The owner was charming and walked us out to our campsite with us following in our vehicle. We have a 25 foot vehicle so didn't have any problem getting in our site. The place was spotless. The bathrooms were about the cleanest I have ever seen. There is a brewery on site. Some folks were having a pint- some just playing board games. Just seemed like such a friendly welcoming place. This place is on our list of places to come back to.
