Reviews for Artillery Ridge Campground

By user-5856727... on 2018-06-27.

The sites are ok. Not anything special. Satellite did not work very well, but we don't have ours on top. Information at the office on tours wasn't informative. We were looking forward to the horse tour. Be warned... they have a weight limit. The lady said their horses are to tired to carry some people. If that is the case maybe they need new stock. Town is easy to get to. Bus tour that we took was worth the price

Enjoyed our stay here. All the amenities you need. Convenient to town with shuttles available. If you like to ride, the horseback tour is great if not the front desk will arrange the bus tour for you. Would stay again.

| Nice shaded sites

By user-5598839... on 2018-06-27.

Close to Gettysburg and all attractions. They accept passport America and Escapees, as well as Good Sam. You must have the card to present. Just the number won't do. This was a last minute decision, and we were happy for one night. Would stay here again. Didn't use any thing but sewer water and electric! No wifi but we had Verizon hotspot.

| Great Place!

By user-5926631... on 2018-06-27.

We stayed 2 nights while visiting Gettysburg. This park is super convenient to the Gettysburg Visitors Center, all the attractions and downtown. The sites were great, level and shaded. The park was very busy but surprisingly quiet. I will definitely stay here again.

Been here since the 22nd. Gravel roads and sites, most with full hookups, decent water pressure. WiFi nonexistent, at least in our area, sites in the 50s. Quiet where we are. Our site not real level, but not terrible. Overall, not bad. We leave tomorrow. We would stay again. Rate was $60, but that came down with Good Sam, and would have been about half if we had Passport America.

This is a large campground - sites are somewhat close together but relatively level. Wifi in the 400 loop area was non-existent, but staff told us that when we checked in. Convenient location.

| Great campground! The horseback tour is a MUST DO!! There is no better way to see the battlefields.

This was our 2nd time at the campground and it won't be our last it's a nice campground with clean facilities, nice level sites and very pleasant staff.

| Highly Recommend

We have stayed at Artillery Ridge several years. Staff is very accommodating and courteous. We don't ride the horses but children enjoy watching them leave for the battlefield. Pool is wonderful. They have an activity building where we've seen movies and had ice cream socials. Good sites. We will be back.

| So far a bust. Passport America users be aware prices have risen. It would be nice if managers had at least had them changed on line. It took us an hour to get the RV level but the real kicker was that the pool which I had specifically ask...

We stayed here while visiting the Gettysburg area. The park has nice sites, and is kept very clean. It is conveniently located and has a friendly staff.

| Nice park but more than advertised

We stopped in late March on our way back north. Very close to all the battlefields and town. Wifi was hit and miss. Good at times. Nothing in the park was open yet, but they still charged full price. Was still 40 per night even with passport America discount. Set up for horse people. Lots of paddocks etc. They put us in the wettest corner of the park, even though there were lots of drier sites. People next to us said their camper was sinking and left.

| Very friendly and chill

We stayed midweek and paid $30 per night for two nights with full hookups with our Passport America. This was 50% off the standard rate. We love this campground because they are very friendly and chill. Nobody coming around to watch your every move like some campgrounds. We would definitely go back if we were in the area again. Looks like they have lots of activities for families, including horseback riding. The only suggestion I have is to improve the showers. They are standard campground showers. Clean and acceptable. Better shower heads would be a great improvement. Hot water seemed to run out quickly.

| Great Place

The closest to the battlefields you can get. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute. It was quiet even over Father's day weekend when the place was full with campers and horse-campers. The people in the office are friendly and helpful and we enjoyed going for our evening walk with the dog around the campground. We used PA during the week and they gave us Good Sam discount for the weekend which makes this place the most reasonable for this area. We would stay there again.

| Very uneven sites, hard to get trailer level

By user-6235627... on 2018-07-06.

We made a last minute detour on our trip to stop at GettysBurg Military Park. Good news was they had a pull through site available for 1 night. We had read reviews and seen a 4 star rating overall. That is why we picked this RV Park at the last minute. The sites are very unlevel. We looked around and it was not just our specific site, many others were also unlevel. As it had been raining, there was mud and the ground was soft. During the day and night, our trailer continued to “settle” and shift more unleveled after we had originally got it fairly level at set up. From a level stand point, this is the worse site we have had in years of RVing. For the Good Sam’s rate of $54 a night, I would have expected more. The Park is very close to the Gettysburg Military Park and Visitor Center so that is a plus. If we were staying her multiple nights, We would be very unhappy.

| Close to Gettysburg

Clean, drive thru rv spots, clean bathrooms, horseback riding through park and a pool to cool off in. Only gave 4 stars because they have no activities for kids because they are so close to Gettysburg.

Stayed 4 nites, nice long pull thrus. Quiet park, well maintained. Office staff helpful on check in. Stayed with PA. Gave us free admission tickets to some of the local attractions , enjoyed the diorama especially.

| Very UN-level Sites

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-10-15 to 2018-10-16

Gravel ramps for sites. We leveled as much as we could but jacks maxed out before we could get completely level. This is no resort. It may look nicer in summer and clear weather, but this is just an old run down park that has a section for horses. We were not in that section, but it was still messy. Far over priced.

This is a really nice campground. Very clean. You can tell that the owners take pride in taking care of it.

| Great Location

Office staff was great! Playground & mini golf, plus the pool was nice for the kids. Sites were decent sized, but had shade.

| Close to park and fills up fast

By user-5151076... on 2019-08-09.

Came in June to visit park. Coming from DC park easy to find near Gettysburg. Sites are ok nothing special and seems Like many locals camp here.

| Nice site, close to the battlefields.

We stayed a couple of nights, park is clean, quite and has many things to do. Swimming pool, crazy golf, kids play area, store and the horse riding facilities. We did not hear one yapping dog, in fact we did not really hear a prep from anyone. Certainly worth the price of you all me. 20, 30 and 50 Amp outlets with no wiring issues on my pedestal, water pressure is good, wifi is slow at a full signal, sewer hookup and the lot I was on its fairly level. Some have complained about uneven lots, my suggestion would be carry more equipment to level with, if you don't, well shame on you. I would come back again..
