Better Than Expected
By user-4590435... on 2017-10-23.
We pulled in today - 21 Sept 2014 to a very well kept park with friendly and helpful staff. Our site #7 was very nice with a deck, picnic table, two Adirondack chairs, table & chiminea overlooking a pretty pond.
I cannot fathom any negative reviews for this place based on our experience - unless someone is trying to keep it secret which I can understand ;)
Full hook-ups, cable TV, WiFi & decent cellular (Verizon) service, clean restroom/shower facility and laundry.
We asked to stay an additional night midweek but no luck as reservations were in for our site.
I almost hate to share this little gem in a review!
28' max for this site.

Very nice, small, clean family-owned RV park.
By user-6547286... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed here for 4 days, so we could see the beaches and the redwoods. The RV park is very lush and green, surrounded by forest, including Patrick's Point State Park which is right abroad the street. Our RV sir was right behind the bathrooms and laundry which was fine with us, and these sites were separated by tall hedgerows for privacy. There is a wonderful pet area with poopie bags. There is also a wonderful pond worth benches and the area is very nicely landscaped. The owner was very nice and they take excellent care of the park and the facilities. It is very close to Big Lagoon beach where we took our dogs for an off-leash adventure. Don't miss the Trinity Bay Eatery and Gallery in the quaint town of Trinity. A wonderful experience!

Well, just ok. Long term family in a cockroach old fifth wheel in next space. Screamers they were. Many long term folks. Just not worth it. Better off dry camping.

We had a site on the pond and it was beautiful. Close to the town and can get to redwood parks from here. Only bummer is t rained the whole time we were there. Not the rv parks fault. Decent price and hook ups

My first five star rating.
By user-5815102... on 2017-10-23.
Yes, this park deserves the highest rating. It is a small park, but is laid out so you have exceptional privacy. We have a 22 ft. Travel Trailer; but there were several big rigs here too. Grounds and facilities were well maintained and extremely clean. Staff was very attentive and friendly. We stayed three nights and could have stayed here longer with no hesitation.

Delightfully quaint, and immaculate!
By user-5777558... on 2017-10-23.
Perfectly groomed grass parking areas, many of them with vine covered lattice privacy screens between many of the sites.
Some sites have decks bordering a picturesque pond with water lilies. Bathrooms are spotless.

Poor customer service and no refunds
By user-5503125... on 2017-10-23.
This is a beautiful small park. But the spaces are very very small. Campfire rings are so close to the next RV that it is unsafe. They have a "no exceptions" refund policy. We scheduled four nights but had to leave a day early due to wife's medical issues and an extremely noisy drunk neighbor. The witch that owns the place got real out of line. But when confronted with the information had no choice but to return the one night we were no going to use. This is no joke. If you ask to stay four days but can only three she won't return your money with out a 14 day notice! That is absurd to demand from travelers. Wonder how many people she has shorted with this policy. Please take my advice pass on this place. Cranky crooked owner, way to many resident tenants, way to small oh and by the way extreme mosquito problem.

Peace & quiet

We gravitate towards the 10/10/10 parks with level concrete pads & easy satellite tv clearance. This awesome park is definitely not that. But its emphasis on a quiet, serene atmosphere (no outdoor TV's allowed!) held huge appeal to me. Arrived after a good rain storm to find the very large grass pad firm enough to drive on but too soft to comfortably allow me to extend the leveling jacks, even with the aid of the plastic 12"x12" pads & 'legos' I carry. I cautiously elected to give it a day to dry out then try again. A passing comment to one of the wonderful women that work the office resulted in her equally great husband providing some serious pieces of wood that made quick work of supporting the weight of our 37' Class A. Satellite TV worked at our pull thru site unless the wind was really blowing. (The park abuts to part of Patrick's Point SP & has very tall trees on its parameter.). Excellent cable is provided. The park, our site included, is beautifully landscaped. A very tall hedge provided a privacy on the sides. There really aren't that many sites available. At least during our November stay, drop-ins were not encouraged. Be sure to call ahead. Our departure was delayed by a day due to another rainstorm. My inexperience with grass sites had me worried that we might get stuck trying to leave. We did get a lot of rain, but in hindsight, I was probably just being overly cautious. Enter the park from the north & carefully follow the park's signs at the entrance. The first entrance area is not designed for bigger rigs. This is a very nicely landscaped that emphasizes a very quiet setting. And great wifi. Pay for 7, stay for 8. We could not have been happier.

Nice older park
By user-5593968... on 2018-07-06.
Stayed 2018-05-18 to 2018-05-20
This park is old. The restrooms and showers are clean, the staff is very helpful, the sites are gravel and the road has an unusual number of speed bumps (so many it's annoying). 30 amp service only, cable tv, water and sewer. Most of the sites are taken by long term or seasonal campers. We found a colony of sea lions on the rocks near the park ( turn left at drive, 1st pull off on the left). Probably the best choice in Trinidad but this is not a 5 star park.

Near Patrick's Point SP

This is a nice older park nestled in the redwoods walking distance to Patrick's Point SP. Road/sites are gravel and a little tight but doable. 50 amp FHU, cable TV with a decoder box, limited wifi and weak cell signal. Only 3 sites will get satellite. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. You can tell they take care of their park. Pond side spots have a nice view. NOT BIG RIG FRIENDLY Way to many speed bumps. Quite park but you will get hwy 101 noise.
