Reviews for B.J.'s RV Park

Highly recommended! A small-ish well-maintained park with drinkable water at the edge of civilization, great views, and roomy spaces. Very friendly owners. Community campfires. The owner even taught us "washers" tossing.

This is a nice little park. The people are really friendly and the place is very quiet. It is a great place to start your journey into Big Bend National Park. We were really surprised to be invited to a free breakfast on Sunday... what nice people! There is no cable or OTA broadcasts... so bring your satellite dish if you want to watch TV.

Not super attractive but I did very much appreciate the clean and private showers.

| First timers to the RV world

Our first venture in the RV Camping world was quite the experience! We felt like the griswalds . First, we were late getting started and ran into a crazy wind storm. We got to Terlingua at 10:30pm and it was pitch black. BJ RV park was incredible. Our spot was a pull through and praise God for that. HUGE problem we couldn t get any electrical and it was our trailer not the RV park. At 11:00 pm the owners husband Wayne came down to lend a hand . He was phenomenal and so funny we all became fast friends. By 3:30am we have electricity and were ready to level off and get some sleep. Oh and yes we really tried to be quite but we upset one man who yelled and said Hey do you have to do all of this at 2:30 ? We apologized and said we needed about five more minutes and he then offered to come help. Get to sleep about 4:00, we were exhausted. Oh and I forgot to mention our daughter (who is having a birthday Monday) and our two oldest Grandsugars came with us. Now, Zoey our boxer needed to go out to pee at 7:30am. As we go outside I hear water and low and behold we have water leak . I wake up my husband and he shakes his head. A fellow camper Van came to introduce himself and immediately pitches in to help and is on a quest to help find someone to fix our leak as they had nothing that would help. A few hours later we had 4 people there to help and Cody knew exactly what to do and fixed it! Cody is known as a ray of sunshine and he certainly was The RV camping world really rallied around to help us beginners. So we wanted to thank everyone and decided to have a big cookout for them. We made so much food that when two families pulled in from the Houston area we were able to feed 3 of their awesome 16 year old boys while they got set up. It was great to sit around the campfire and learn about these awesome kids as they ate. They were grateful as they had the nightmare trip coming. We were so blown away at the out pouring of friendship to us and that we were able to pass it forward to the Houston families that evening. Got up before dawn this morning with my daughter and granddaughter to watch the sunrise. She had a perfect spot picked out to watch it. Then we went hiking a few miles. We received incredible information, support and help. We are now hooked and friends were made on our maiden voyage. Now that I have a huge list of things we need, we are ready to go again.
