| Not all KOA's are created equal

Very basic but adequate KOA, likely a testimony to its very remote location. Certainly far different experience from the KOA at West Glacier, MT, which we also visited on this trip. Park was clean and very quiet. It provided a good base to explore Badlands NP.

Clean restrooms well managed. Quiet. Good sized dog park and wash station. Lousy wi-fi. Non- existent Verizon signal.

This park is about 6 miles from the entrance to Badlands National Park... which you had better like, since there isn't much else in the area. Well, there is the Minuteman Missile National Historic Site... but that's it! The park is very nice. The owners are friendly and the amenities are very good. There's lots to do for the entire family and they keep the family activities in one area, so that us older folks can enjoy the quiet on the other side. The area is very quiet and relaxing. The only negative is the WiFi, which is not very good. Also, this is a KOA... so pretty expensive. If you want cheaper, there is a pretty decent park in Interior for about $30 per night.

Plenty of room between sites. We prefer gravel sites over concrete. Very clean showers and rest rooms. Everything worked. Play areas for kids and pets, swimming pool. Great stay

We used this as a basecamp for the area. We really couldn't enjoy the outdoors at all while at the park because they are having a horrible year of mosquitoes. Food was ok. Laundry was ok. Dryers took forever. Staff was friendly and helped with set up. Wi-fi was hit or miss, mostly miss. No cell reception at all. It is just a couple miles from the Badlands National Park entrance so that is an awesome plus. The store is well stocked because there really isn't a decent store for miles. Also ignore Google and do not approach the camp from the south thru the Reservation. We have a small TT and it was bad can't image a larger rig. Overall it was an ok stay. Will check on mosquitoes next time before arrival so we can maybe take advantage of all the amenities.
