I don't know what this picture is on RV Parky, but the site we so tight, felt like a sardine. I will never come back here.

| Stay Here If Going to Acadia

What a lovely campground! Just outside of Acadia National Park lies this KOA that not only offers great views, but offers friendly service as well. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed as special guests into the campground, offered advice on how to see Acadia, guided to our campsite with the wood offered at check in. We go to many campgrounds and incredibly we are generally just checked in rather than offered items to make our stay nicer such as wood, advice, etc. It is a service that I wish more campgrounds would understand. I would definitely recommend staying at this campground if you are going to visit Acadia as everything about it will make your stay memorable.

Campground we always wanted to try. Stayed early in season so we had area on ocean all to ourselves . 100+ a nite so we only stayed 2 nites water electric and cable no sewer. Wouldn't say I'd be back

| Great water front views

We went early in June booked in April for water front site. The price is high for water electric and cable only, but the view was amazing well worth the money. It is a small park our site had plenty of room for our 23 foot hybrid. Site was level, bathrooms and showers very clean. My only complaint is traffic noise in mornings as camp is just off Rt. 3. However location that close to 3 made for a 10 min. Drive to Acadia and down town Bar Harbor. Stay away form 4$ wood shed just outside park entrance it says dry camp wood but it was not at all. Wood did nothing but smolder and smoke.

| Impressive

Getting an ocean front spot here was recommended to us by a co-worker and it did not disappoint! I admit it was extremely pricey, but if you are looking for a place to relax this is it. The rest of the spots did look tight.

| Very happy with our stay.

Our first long trip with a 35ft fifth wheel. We booked early so were able to get an Oceanside spot. I have to say, we have been camping many years and this spot was the best ever. Easy to park and level. Plenty of space. Amazing sunsets. Very friendly. Bathrooms were very clean. We opted to stay another night and had to move sites. Picked a full service site to hook up to sewer before we left. Still plenty of space. Will definitely be back.

| Not great

Got a water front site since the others were like a grassy parking lot. Had trouble with leveling and tree limbs. Paid lots less for better sites nearby.

| Expensive

This was way more than we usually would spend. The sites were ok. The cable was awful which was bad on a Saturday nite trying to watch college football. Had a nice lobster dinner that they make and sell. Very nice laundry.

| Just OK

Nothing spectacular. We had a pull through. No trees at all. You pull into the site off a gravel drive but to pull out, you drive over wet muddy grass. Thank goodness for 4-wheel drive or I might still be there. Wifi was ok when it wasn't crowded. The best thing about it was that it was just on the entrance to the Island so everything was just a short distance down the road: Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Cadillac Mountain and a very picturesque spot-Bass Harbor.

| Wonderful but expensive

It is a wonderful place. We stayed a week and explored the area! Best WI-FI ever! Great views ! On the water sites do not have sewer hook up but most of the near water sites do! $81/night full hookup, but easy to get to everything! Love this place!

| Great location, Some sites need work

We chose this KOA due to it's oceanside location on Mt. Desert as we had stayed in the Schoodic area several years ago and wanted to be closer to the main section of Acadia. The campground has lovely views along the ocean and we enjoyed a couple of exceptional sunsets. The KOA has nice facilities--laundry, bath houses and lots of activities for kids and adults. Lobster dinners available during prime season and it was great just to wander over to the geedunk and order up a lobster. Wifi and cable hooks up were fine. The campground is upgrading/ adding a row of sites which were not completed during our stay and we were just in behind the construction row---in fact our site appeared to have a new sewer connection. This led to muddy conditions and drainage issues at our and other sites due to rainy weather. Campground staff were running around using a suction pump and tank to drain puddles around the campground. Site selection is important here until they fix the drainage issues . Many of the premium waterfront sites had some wet areas but not as bad as our row of FHU sites. All of the premium patio sites were high and dry but they didn't have a view.
