If you enjoy the tranquility of nature and a beautiful scenery, then this is the place to go. We are staying here for two nights. $32 at $16 a night. Just water and 30 amp hookups only. But the view is amazing. The staff are very friendly as well. Well worth the money.
The second night we were here was by far the most terrifying experience of my life. There was a horrible storm with a possible tornado in the area that had our RV rocking around. If you hear non stop rolling thunder.. Take cover immediately we were in lot 32 and there is a outhouse shower a little ways back.
It is a beautiful park. We spent a week here while traveling the country. We booked this park six weeks ahead so we were sure to have a site. Army Core of Engineers parks fill up quickly, especially Holiday weekends. I wish it was listed on the website that the one and only restroom/shower building was Out Of Order. They said something about having to pay for a wall instead of fixing the plumbing. Well, we didn't have a mobile dump tank so we had to move the trailer and dump the tanks in the middle of our stay. The electricity went out the second day and it took a day to get it fixed. I fear without preventive maintenance, they won't have electric in a few years.
