This lovely state park is not only convenient to Interstate but has large campsites that are strategically set so that each spot is surrounded by trees and does not have a view of the other campers located nearby. There are a lot of activities available and wonderful hiking. While there are no sewer or water hook ups at each site, there is a dump station and water is available in season. We plan on staying there ever time we drive down I70! We would highly recommend this wonderful camping spot!!
Plenty of trails, woods and a lake. Great mountain bike and hiking opportunities. Cute log cabin general store. Only downside is shower / restroom facilities are far away from the "pets allowed" area.
Stopped here for the night on our way home. Clean State Campground with 2 of 3 loops (A & B) pet friendly & part of A loop has sites for people with horses. We were lucky enough to get a full hook up site in A loop, but most only have electric. Good thing we had FHU because the showers were WAY at the other end of the CG. I gave it 3 stars because the toilets were nothing more than "vault toilets" that are open at the feet & head areas. Never used the showers. Also, although the sites had paved pads, a LOT required some serious leveling.
We stayed 6/7/19 and paid $26 for electric site. Lots of trails we did not do but the area is foresty. It was a good stop.
