Really shouldn't be on this site
Convenient place to camp. Nice enough sites. Restroom/showers clean. Just stayed one night passing through. Only negative comment has to do with 30 amp power. Our site had reversed polarity so we used the 50 amp to 30 amp dogbone to get our power. When I reported it to the office I was told in no uncertain terms that "power is power and polarity doesn't matter". I suppose that may be true as long as you don't have a problem with a neutral wire in your RV. She told me the only people who complain about it are people with those "power checker things". Be safe - use the 50 amp plug and reduce it to 30 with a dog bone. I got the impression the entire campground may be reversed but I don't know that for a fact.
Although park is located on base, it is situated far from the main base or any of the base conveniences (BX, commissary, gas, etc). Campgrounds located in woodsy terrain, with a large swampy area behind the grounds. The swamp would account for the taste of the water, which was literally the worst we've ever tasted! The water tasted like algae, but we were assured it was potable. Be sure to turn your ice maker off and use only bottled water! Sites were gravel, dirt, and some grass, but ours was quite level. Office staff was friendly and helpful, and provided us with several dining recommendations. Camp was clean and well tended to. Most permanent residents kept their rigs and sites in good shape.
Only for military, DOD, Retirees, civil service retirees. Must have ID card to get on Base. No Exceptions except sponsored by military
