Public Bus service to Bar harbor and hiking biking trail makes this campground ok. It's very old but clean. We were there 5 nights, dumpsters were overfull, were not emptied making it a sore sight.

There IS a fenced dog park. In the woods. The spaces are tight for the overnighters. Long term spaces seem nice. Playground next to the dumpster. Bath house is tight but adequate. Can walk to lighthouse but easier to drive. Close to the water. 20 minute drive to Acadia's Cadillac Mountain.

We drove to this park in Oct 2015 and it's really someone's large property scattered with gravel spots and hookups. There are no mountain or waterview sites. The walk to the lighthouse wouldn't be recommended as there are no sidewalks on the narrow road. Very pricey for what you get here.

| Quiet, no frills camping for small RVs.

Great for exploring southern points of the island: Bass Harbor, Southwest Harbor, Seawall. Two decent stores nearby, but the camp store has NOTHING but some chips. Actually they have some lobster pots you can borrow if you want to cook one up. I saw live lobster up the road for $6.99/lb!The full hookup sites are small and crowded, but they have some nice cabins and yurts for rent. Tent sites are wooded, but not what I would call nice. Bath house is adequate andnd clean. The best parts are the location and pool, which is perfect.

| Best RV campground on the island!

Has room for everyone. Very close the the famous Bass Harbor lighthouse. It s very quick and has great customer support. It s also along one of the main roads for the island. The only down side is that there staff are some time hard to communicate with and when we went to Book our 5 day camping stay they woman was hard to communicate with and when we got here late they didn t leave our card out. That s it though, but compared to the rest of the campgrounds around the island it s the best one and I highly recommend it to anyone who comes here. Also they do have laundry and a place to let your dog go run wild with out then actually running off.

| No RV sites

Not only did the person answering the phone barely speak English but they do not (according to the woman on the phone) have any RV sites, no dump stations and only tent sites... at all.
