The website makes this place look fabulous. The campground has new management, and they mentioned there was a lot they fixed to make the campground better. I am sure they will be continuing to update the place, and it will take some time. While the pool and rec room is accurately described/pictured, the place is lacking greatly. 1) you literally pull up to an open space and have no choice but to park in the middle of it, to walk into the office to check in, essentially blocking others until we moved. 2) the road is one lane, and one way. There is no room for error, so you better know where you're going and do it right the first time. 3) the back of the campground literally has ruts and a worn out road - almost no road left. 4) camp sites are super close together. We couldn't even open our awning! 5) we had to buy extra sewer hose b/c the sewer connection was so weirdly placed - towards the front of the camper and all the way to the site lot line. 6) had to call to inquire about cable (there was a black and a red line to choose from at the site) and free wifi. The supposed open wifi, named after the campground, never showed up in my list of available wifi connections. We will not stay here again, even though we were in the "nicer" section of the campground that was pull-through friendly (which was good, considering the road where our site was off of dead ended) and shaded. We will stay at Holiday Travel Park that is located a few miles away.

Stayed in 61. 61 and 62 and good big rig 1 night stay spots. Pull through, except we felt it necessary to back out. Where the road out meets the main park road there is a very significant dip with lots of grooves cut by trailers. We didn't want to risk getting our fifth wheel into our truck bed or dragging the butt end of our toy hauler getting out. Backing wasn't a huge issue with a good copilot. 43' fifth wheel. Nicely kept, would stay again in only those 2 spots. Would consider wiggling our way in other spots if staying for a while, but not worth the trouble for 1 night. It is not so much the getting in that's the issue, it's getting out, but again we have a very long rig.

We had a very pleasant overnight stay at the new Battlefield Campground. We were warned that the facility was under renovations over the phone and is no longer a KOA. However, they are making many improvements along with very clean showers and bathrooms. I would definitely recommend this campground.

Very unpersonable, I had an appointment in Dalton about 15 minutes away from the campsite when I got back we were less than an hour late for pulling out and was charged almost a fourth of a night stay.... Never again

| Wrong advertising

It advertised on its website and on the information folder we got when we checked in that the park had WiFi and cable. It lists the cable channels on the folder. It didn't have either cable or Wi-Fi during our entire five-day stay. A young man at the front counter told me and a woman on a follow-up phone call said they didn't have any more cable boxes (and I wasn't told I needed a converter when I made the reservation) and that a recent storm knocked out the WiFi. But there not been any major storms in the area shortly before our visit, and then I saw on earlier reviews that other campers were told something similar (I missed those when searching for a campground). So, this is a persistent problem. Also, we should have been told about these things when we checked in but it wasn't until we had set up on the site that we discovered neither WiFi or cable was available. When I asked the young man a couple of days later, when both issues still had not been resolved, about a refund of a portion of my five-day stay -- since I didn't receive what I paid for -- he said both WiFi and cable were "amenities" and the campground didn't have to provide them. When I asked to speak to the owner, he said the owner was his father and that his father would tell me the same thing. He was sullen and not apologetic at all. None of this makes good business sense. Why would you treat your customers this way? By the way, it is a Good Sam rated campground, but I would not recommend it. In addition to the above, it had what appeared to be a lot of longtime campers who had a lot of junk around their campsites.

stayed here to visit family. They charge you a $5.00 FEE for EACH visitor you have. It wasn't like my visitors were using any amenities. The pool was Empty. They actually came to our camper and told us that our visitors needed to check in at the office and pay a fee .thought that was very tacky. There is a winery in front of the campground and we're having an event. The manager sat in his truck at the front of the driveway with orange cones across the road to keep people from parking on the campground property. will never stay here again!!!

| Steer clear of this place!

We would NEVER stay here again! Most of the staff were nice enough. They were polite, but not very helpful. The price was OK (just don’t plan on getting the promised cable TV or WiFi) and the lots (while rather small) were level (enough). I would have given a better rating, but the Cons outweighed the few good points by far. Shortly after my arrival I discovered a crowd of drunken seasonal & short term campers, run-down facilities, & confederate flags flying. I’m not judging anyone negatively based on the flags they chose to fly, but more so on the never ending use of foul language, heaps of beer cans/bottles, dirty looks/stares my (interracial) family received, garbage everywhere, and a playground that more closely resembled a haunted house. The playground was a death trap or at best an invitation for a tetanus shot at the local ER (see Pics!). I only stayed out of pure exhaustion! I locked my family into our RV and left before the sun came up the very next morning! DO NOT STAY HERE!

We stayed in site 61. Tight quarters with pull behind, neighbors assisted husband. Bathroom was nice according to husband. Leaving however bottom scraped not sure if any damage. It was quite and no trains. First place without trains. We would go back.

We stayed here for over 7 weeks waiting for our new to us Motorhome, I would give it 5 stars if the pool was open. (Off season) nice looking pool. Clean laundry, showers and washrooms. WIFI was pretty good and cable (need a box from office) worked great. We did get over air TV stations too. Very nice office staff. Close enough to all local attractions. We would stay here again close to I75 for easy on and off. Big rig friendly.
