Reviews for Bay Shore Family Campground

Nice place, beautifully landscaped BUT with landscaping hard to make turns with camper in tow. Pull thru sites are spacious and level BUT you must get out and move your picnic table before being able to pull in. Concrete slab for picnic table with fire ring. Pool was only open one day while we were there due to cold weather which also meant that the spa/hot tub was also closed. No camp store so you must go out to get anything that you might run out of or forgot. ALSO MUST GET A TOKEN if you plan to leave and come back after 9:00pm. as the office closes. AND they want the tokens back if you don't use them!

Beautifully landscaped grounds that are well kept. Back-in spaces are pretty tight to get into, even with a very experienced trailer maneuverer. If they had removable space markers, it would help, as there are obstacles very close to trailer on both sides. ◇ Many regulars come for the weekends; occupants of a couple of trailers parked very close to us felt so comfortable there that they had a very noisy, late-night, alcohol-fueled altercation that was quite disruptive and uncomfortable for neighbors. No park personnel were available to enforce the campground "quiet hour" rules, so police showed up. ◇ A little pricey at $43 for full hookup; you are assessed an extra $3 per day for hot or cold days when you might run AC or heat. A $6 per day per guest fee ($8 if they stay overnight) is a little steep too, and if there are special activities it is $12. ◇ We were there the first Saturday so got to watch county-sponsored fireworks over the lake---great show and free!
