| Quiet in off season
Wooded sites with nice walking trail around lake. Some sites looked rather uneven. Our first visit to an Illinois State Park and we dilligently drove round several times looking for somehow to pay. No host, no kiosk with instructions, no Honor box. There was one other RV on property, but no tow vehicle and no one around.
Awesome State Park. Plenty of nature to enjoy. A few spots have water hookup and there s a shower house with restrooms. Plenty of outhouses as well. A restaurant at the entrance to the park and by the stocked lake. Go and enjoy- about $20 a night!
