This is R&R at its best! No muss, no fuss, just lovely people, clean park,and we'll appointed sites. Walk to the Brown Butter Cookie Company for a treat and then just around the corner to Luna Cafe for the coffee and back to your RV to take in the beautiful view of the Pacific and Morro Rock.
If you're not wanting to cook, the restaurants in town are good, and all within walking distance. And the people of Cayucos are just plain lovely! This is a place where the Golden Rule still applies.
This park is quiet and exceptionally well kept; not to mention very fairly priced.
The negatives? If you want a space, you'll need to book about 6 months in advance.

Full hookup. Everyone so friendly !!! Amazing view. Wi-Fi isn’t good. Very nice camping! U$ 54/night (ocean view)

Great location but trash park

This was such a disappointment. Great location but its primarily a trailer park with trashy trailers parked everywhere and permanent residents living next to the handful of available sites. The compensation is beach and town in easy walking distance.

Great escape

My wife and I were here 6 years ago and it was total chaos. The streets were very bad and you almost needed a four wheel drive. The park is a mix of small mobile homes and RV sites. The new owners have repaved the streets. No camp fires are allowed. The restaurant's are within walking distance if you don't want to cook. We will do a return trip

Beautiful campground near the beach and the town. Very friendly people there and all well organized. We booked a full hookup site online and a map with our name on it was waiting for us at the office. In the town are some restaurants and shops. There are perfect waves for surfers. The whole campground is beautiful, clean and veryyy quiet.

Spent my first 2 nights in an RV here and it was perfect. I made a reservation the day before. Note that there is no check-in/check-out on Saturdays. For late arrivals they have a nice system in place and I was glad I got a pull thru spot with full hook-ups. VERY quiet, clean and warm bathrooms. Cayucos is a cute little town, in nearby Morro Bay you can find more shops.

Poorly managed

The park is under new ownership and management. Management never informed us that they were resealing the asphalt until we drove up. The resealing project was to last 4 days. The manager was very on edge the whole time I was here. It seems that some of the existing residents sued the new owner successfully as he was attempting to get rid of them. I get the impression that there is constant tension between the residents and the ownership / management. The communication that was given to us stating the time that the resealing was to start and what actually happened did not match. Everyone had to find additional parking elsewhere off property.
Expect bankers hours in the office. When they go to lunch, the office is closed. No times were posted on when lunch is or their return. Hours of operation are posted as 10 - 4 but don't expect these to be the actual hours. I noticed one day was 10:30 with a line of people waiting outside.
Make sure you have change for laundry as there is no change machine for quarters. You will need to ask the office for change otherwise.
As I stated, there are permanent residents. There are also long term campers. I spoke to several of them. I found them to be older folks who were extremely nice and helpful. They felt like family to me.
The facilities were in good condition with exception of the internet service, which I would rate a 1 out of 10 for just connectivity. It was full bars but connected / disconnected constant hassle.
My take away from this experience is that the new ownership's goal is to keep the park filled no matter the inconvenience to paying customers. Don't expect a discount for your trouble or refund for early exit. Not even a sorry.

Campground staff damaged my RV

I saw gardening staff damage my RV. It ended up being $1600. They do not want to pay or even talk about working something out. When the damage occurred, the manager repeated several times to me that they would take care of it. It was an outright lie.
Additionally, from what I understand there has been litigation between some of the residents and the newer owners. I believe it was related to forcing them to pay higher rent despite being under rent control. VERY unfair to seniors and low income folks.
DO NOT CAMP HERE. I absolutely hate dishonest people. This location is simply not worth it.
