Ben Franklin is a family owned RV Park that has evolved from a " Trailer Park" to a pretty decent TV Park. The location for York PA. visitors is excellent.

Offers everything but a pool. Stopped here overnight, owners give the best service and make sure everything is perfect. Beautiful waterfall when you enter campground, very inviting. I would stay here again.

We stayed for 4 nights. The park is clean and conveniently located. We were unable to get the WiFi to work on anything except a Windows laptop, which was a minor inconvenience but not a deal breaker. The middle section of the outer loop of the park where we were assigned has some highway noise but you can't beat the price for full hookups.

We arrived on a Sunday when the office was closed. Owners explained everything by phone and were helpful and friendly upon their return. Good sized laundry. New and clean bathroom. Good price. Little extras like swing chairs under trees and propane near office is nice. Happy to stay again

Showers are awesome but only two facilities. That is about it.... Looks like mostly long term inhabitants. Highway 30 noise is there but not too bad. My most negative concern is the fact that the site had wheel ruts, not filled, site difficult to level at hook up is a streth for H2O and sewer.Tthe fire pit was not cleaned, full of beer cans, cinder boxes and ash coal from whoever lived here earlier. Host needs to do their job... never saw a person associated with the campground. Could be a nice CG if they spent a little effort maintaining sites. Good for an overnighter or short run. Otherwise RambleOn.

We needed a place to stay overnight and lucked upon BFRV Park. Staff was super friendly as were the other campers. Spots were a bit close but 287 was in an ideal spot. Right next to the clubhouse and office. WiFi was spot on, no complaints from the kids. Lightning bugs amazed the kids too. Lots to do and not buggy at all. Highly recommend this place. We will be back!

| Noisy No Frill Park!

Visited here in late August 2018 for two weeks, with a 42 fifth wheel, and was in Site 304, a 50/30/20amp FHU angled back-in site about 80 long. The campground consists of 51 sites, of which 10 are pull-thru (electric/water only) and 41 back-in 50/30/20amp FHU. Each site is packed gravel pads, grass between sites w/fire rings and black top interior park roads. About a third of the park tenants appeared to be seasonal/long term and a couple permanent mobile homes. The park is easy to navigate though with big rigs like our fifth wheel, despite the two fairly sharp turns on each end of the backside road. The park does offer a clubhouse, gazebo, nice park like area, laundry/restroom/shower facilities, free wi-if and LP refill service. AT&T cellular service was excellent as was the OTA television reception. Pros and Cons (In my opinion) - Conveniently located base camp for the Gettysburg, Harrisburg, Hershey, Lancaster County and York PA area. - Inexpensive park for the area if all you want is a no frills clean basic park. - Reasonably close to Walmart, grocery stores, fuel, restaurants and retail stores. - Friendly staff and owners that really seem to be working hard to have a nice park. - The Highway 30 road noise is near unbearable. I can usually deal with trains, traffic noise and things that go bump in the night while I sleep but here it is really difficult, as I find myself writing this portion of this review in the early morning hours of day two. It s not the average car traffic that s bad. It s the semi-truck traffic and that occasional loud car/pickup/motorcycle that gets you. The eastbound traffic is the main problem. It either goes to fast and uses their engine brake to slow for the curve that s right next to the park or the vehicle that accelerates off the green light like it s a drag strip. Those in the area should push for enforced lower speeds, enforced prohibited engine brake use and how about extending the sound damping traffic wall to were it would do some good. Seems worse Monday - Friday then the weekend. - Site 304 was not level (left to right and front to back) not over extremely but enough to make me say something as a con, however, looking at some of the other rigs in the park most seem to have less problems. - Beautiful waterfall/landscaping at entrance with a new clubhouse. I would suggest that maybe more care should be put into customer/tenant areas of the park like the sites. - There s a sewage like smell that lingers in the air sometimes late at night and early in the morning here. It maybe from the paper mill that s a few miles southwest. No matter, I don t know from what or why, but it s difficult to get past it. All and all, if we were back in the area, we wouldn t be coming back here.

We stayed at Bens for a few months over the winter. It is a no frills small place but the owners are friendly and accommodating. Bathrooms were well maintained and upgraded. They do have a nice common areas they use for events along w a nice outdoor patio which we didn t get to enjoy over the winter months. Convenient location to RT 30 to York.
