Reviews for Bentsen Grove Resort (55+)

| Lots of activities here

This is a nice older snowbird park in a good location away from the expressway noise. They have both an indoor and outdoor pool. The snowbird residents are friendly and there are numerous daily activities during the snowbird season. We stay in another park nearby but often visit here to attend the events. It is also just about 2 miles to the world birding center, the national butterfly center and close to paved biking trails. This is a nice older park & I would be comfortable staying here for the winter season.

Friendly, with loads of activities. End of 2017 will have 3 indoor pickle ball courts 1 outdoor. Has yummy food at y cook cafe. Great place and more for the price. Our favorite "winter Texan home"

This is one of the best parks along the Rio Grande in South Texas. There are activities for everyone. It’s just a short bike ride to the birding center and butterfly center. The park has; Sports - golfing (they drive a couple of miles away), pickle ball (look it up), biking, dancing, walking, swimming (indoor and out door pools), etc. games - cards, dominos, shuffleboard, pool, etc. crafting - classes and clubs - sewing, quilting, wood carving, stained glass, rock club (geology), motorcycles club, bike club, etc. This is just some of them. I can’t list all the clubs and activities. The park has a lot of park models as well as full hookup sites. People were very friendly. We stayed a month here in February. This was our first time but we plan to come back.

Old park with out of state owner, as I was told, lots of seasonal homes and park models some in rough shape. WI-FI in park is non existant, $670 a month will get you a lot nicer park with more features, their bicycle group goes to lunch and breakfast 3 or four times a week down a bussy 4 lane highway.the photo club is non-existent, they do have pickel ball, and citrus trees are everywhere and some are very good.the electric box on our sight had a broken post and had been that way for a long time. We stayed at half off for first time, and we left early, we wont be back. Lots better parks in the valley fo a hole lott less money.

Older park but well kept with nice facilities, friendly people and countless activities. Would recommend for short or long visits. Indoor and outdoor pool a plus for winter. Lots of birdwatching areas close by.
