Love this campground for weekend trips. Great activities for my grandchildren including water park, lake, crafts, playgrounds, mini-golf, ice cream shop, and special events. Access to river for watercraft, nice roads for bicycles, and nice size lots. Been RVing to this resort for eight years.
This campground is nice. But the super sites suck don't waste the money on them. The other sites are way bigger and nicer. If you don't like golf carts. This place isn't for you. It has tons of golf cart traffic. The pool and stuff is nice.
This is nice park. The problem is it's more if a retirement community than an RV resort. About 50-60% maybe more of the campers are permanent full timers. All the prime water spots are occupied by full timers. The site for regular campers are in the rear of the park, spots are spacious and shaded. I wouldn't consider this a resort anymore. Nice but not what we expected.
A great campground and a great time. Tonight Saturday night @ 1105 the marshals and police came and told us at 11 no music is permitted. We turned our music off to respect the policies of the campground. A Marshall or park employee stopped to let us know we were fine but keep it down. It s 11:52 i hear music and loud voices and everything. I m very disappointed our good time was cut short while other campers are living it up. Totally unsat.
My wife and I were walking the grounds with our mini-dachsund when a loose pit bull ran and attacked him and my wife. My wife required emergency treatment for multiple dog bites and scratches and the dog required 2 surgeries to address his wounds. The treatment after by the campground management was atrocious. We had to get our own transportation to hospitals and back, they would not let us on the camp shuttle, nor would they reimburse us for a rental car. They did refund us our stay, but only after extensive discussions with management. They are ill-equipped to deal with problems, do not enforce their own dog regulations and are not concerned with their customers issues. We certainly will not come again and urge you to exercise extreme caution.
Super sites are fairly close. You will probably want to have golf cart or bikes to get around. Bathhouses are clean. Pond is nice with kyak rentals. Solid experience.
There is a lot to do. Or just relax on your site. We stayed in July during a heat wave. So glad there is a lot of water activities and pools to keep cool. There are not many golf carts for rent. Be sure to book one when you make your reservations. Very nice setting. Clean park and they do have a trolley to town.
