This is only for Big Cypress volunteers to camp, no public camping.
This is a real pearl of a campground. 26 big back-in sites with electricity around a central pond where aligators are living. Friendly and efficient camp host on site, and only a 2 mile drive to the Big Cypress Visitor Center. Beautiful situated with big, level grass sites. Very clean restroom (flush toilets) and showers. Will stay there again if our travels takes us this way, and we will then stay for more than one night.
This app shows that the campground has showers and restrooms. Showers are not existing and the restrooms have been closed that day. On our campside we just had electric hookups and no water. But all in all a nice clean and quiet place to stay for one night.
Great for a couple of nights. No water or sewer at site but you can fill at the fill station and there is a dump. Good electric. Nice and dark at night and very quiet. Good place to view the sky. It is open to the public and can be reserved on line.
