Very nice staff. Checked us in with no problems. I would recommend this place to anyone in the 55+ group. Very quiet right across the road from Walmart which is great!

We phoned while driving, and the lady said there was overflow space, which we we're happy to get, and they would watch for us. On arrival, an older man in a golf cart waved & indicated we could follow him. He then led us through the lovely permanent models, to an area of RVs & smaller trailers. We had our choice of about 6 sites, all level with full hookup & right across from the bathroom, showers & pool. The lady at the office said we could pay in the morning and we had a lovely quiet night. Our fee in the morning was a reasonable $38.00, and we found out that to become permanent, after buying the modular, would be $320/month, which is very reasonable for this beautiful a park. There are several restaurants close by and we ate at "The Reef and Beef", which our "guide" had recommended, about 2 min away. Comfortable cowboy atmosphere (a big rodeo area), with authentic items on the walls and what a meal! Hand cut steaks, perfectly cooked, a nice selection of light seafood (the Crawfish appetizer was amazing), and the prices were totally affordable. Big Tree is definitely on our "Return & Stay" list so we can visit our friends in this area. There is shuffleboard & pool tournaments, all very friendly.

Nice and friendly but not upscale by any means. Pool and pool area are very small, especially given the size of the park. Stayed in the overflow section with no sewer hookup. Was ok for a couple of weeks but not on our return list.
