We had a great stay here. The spaces are a little tight, but the park is clean with good amenities. We took a chance on the steakhouse and had a fun time. Good steak, and the musical show was a fun distraction.

| Loud and crowded

By user-5881263... on 2017-10-23.

Campground is cramped and not only loud because of freeway but also right next to big rig parking. Diesel engines running all night and diesel fumes pass right through campground. Lots of sirens all of the time as well. Went to the restaurant because it was convenient but way overpriced for the quality of food. I think we were paying more for the singing waiters...they were good.

33 a night. I seen the pictures of this place on Google. We kept going steak less.

Roads are rough! Many long term parkers with loads of equipment in their patio. Hookups can be 30 or more feet from your parking place. Dogs are allowed to roam without a leash.

| Ok for a night or two

We stayed there two nights just to rest from driving. Site we had was actually two sites back to back but we used it as a pull thru, roads a little rough and you can hear the trucks in the lot next door. Campfires were allowed which we thought strange considering the fire ban in AZ. Nice woods to walk the dog. Lots of seasonal campers here, one woman had the habit of walking her dog thru our site.

| Good place for the night don't miss the restaurant

Stopped for the night on our way through. Parking lot was very level, but site was good. If you stay, don't skip the restaurant. Great steaks and very entertaining.

| Not for Big Rigs

This park has so much potential, but is sadly under-developed. Location: Very convenient to all Flagstaff shops, restaurants and the highway. But, there is LOTS of road noise in the park. We had to run our fans at night to drown it out. Overall site: Beautiful. Surrounded by pine trees, the park setting is really pretty and provides some lovely sunsets. Service: Excellent. The lady that runs the place goes the extra mile to satisfy her customers. If not for her efforts, we probably would have pulled up and left. Sites: Awful, just awful. All sites are gravel and sloped. The back (lower) section of the park is so sloped we could not level our big rig. When we complained, we were moved to the front section, which is also gravel, but slightly less sloped and we were able to level off. All sites are set up for "double parking" with the first arriver pulling through and the second one backing in. It is awkward. Packing the sites like that limits the space available for parking and the roads can get very crowded. The picnic table areas are padded with dirt but no grass, so at the first drop of rain, you have a mud hole right outside of your door. Roads: Poor condition. You have to drive very slowly and when it is crowded, there is limited space to maneuver. Organization: Strange. They put tent campers anywhere, rather than group them together. There is also a large number of full-timers and they are spread throughout the park, rather than grouped in a section. Their sites are very unkempt and are not a good representation of how nice this park could be. Overall, it is probably a decent park for trailers, 5th wheels and shorter motorhomes that can easily level off. For longer rigs like ours (44') the unlevel sites combined with the other park issues make this an undesirable park.

Mostly gravel and dirt, not all sites are level, most concrete patios are cracked beyond use, same for picnic tables where available. Not worth $45 beyond 1 night. Staff was neither pleasant or rude, just seemed that they wanted you to park and go away.

As RV Parks go, Black Bart's is just OK. There are several level pull-thru sites, but a lot of the sites are unlevel. We have been coming back every few years because we love the entertainment at the restaurant. The hire students from U of A drama department. They get up on stage throughout the evening and sing individually and as a group. It is great to watch the enthusiasm of their youth. The meals are good but $$$.

We stayed for three nights. No problems checking in. Staff was nice each time we came into the office. The highway noise can be a little loud, as can the large truck lot next door, but it easy to get on & off the freeway. We went to the steakhouse & food was good. You are entertained with singing while you eat. The site we were in was supposed to fit two rigs, not sure how. If you stay only one night, you may have to unhook anything you are towing
