| Beautiful Black Canyon

We stayed in the electric loop, B. Sites are tight. Limited water available to fill jugs. Great ranger program. A drive down to East Portal is a must. Dog walking limited to your campsite as the deer are aggressive,protecting their fawns. Canyon is beautiful. Used our Senior (Geezer) Pass.

Loved this campground! We got a site with electricity, but had water in our tank that we carried from our last stop. Sites were private. We even had a few deer go through our campsite! We only spent one night, but I would have loved to stay longer.

Loop A & B can be reserved Loop C is first come first serve. Electricity Sites cost $22. We arrived on a monday around 9am and there were 2 spots available. More and more spots were available the next day. The host was super awesome and very organized checking up on things constantly. Our fifth Wheel is 26ft and it worked out but we saw people who had to leave because they could not fit.

I am a huge fan of national park campgrounds, this is the first one I ve been disappointed in. There were two campsites where is only enough access for one. I had to drop my trailer and relocate my truck so that the other campers could set up. I had to wait for them to leave before I could hook up and take my trailer out. The sites were not well-maintained and short disappointed
