I know they have to maintain the place, but do they really have to have a noisy chainsaw and loud, smelly tractors going all day on a busy Saturday? Also, our water hydrant didn't work, and when we mentioned it to the guy on duty, he complained that people keep pulling into that spot, so he doesn't get a chance to fix it. Apparently he's never heard of an "out of order" sign. Dog rules were not enforced, and there were loose dogs wandering around. And someone had a puppy tied outside their rig, causing bouts of excessive yipping. It's a lovely place to visit, but would have been nicer if it were better managed.
Very nice state park. Clean and quiet. Would give five stars but for lack of fifty amp service and sewer.
Great camping experience! Campground was clean, park ranger was extremely helpful, and other campers were very friendly! Very accessible and a wide variety of different campsites. A few of the spots now have 50 amp hookups. The only negative we found was the dump station is not very trailer friendly. There s a big drop-off in front of the site that makes it really difficult for a truck and trailer. RVs looked like they didn t have any trouble with it. Will definitely be coming back here though!
