Reviews for Blackwell Island RV Park

By user-5224721... on 2017-10-23.

If you use WIFI, stay somewhere else. This is our second time here and we really like the facility. Front desk person was grumpy, cable TV reception was very poor and the wifi is almost non-existent. Probably will not return until we see that these issued are addressed.

| Tight spaces, good location

Hectic setting. Nice swim area. Laundry facilities are clean and reasonably priced. Sites very close together. Great place for stop over, easy access to I-90.

| Lucky to get a site!

By user-6002848... on 2017-10-23.

Wonderful campground, location is the best, on the River with a beach (even a dog beach), clean showers and laundry and good sized sites. It is pricy but doesn't disappoint.

Well run park that has easy access from I-90, if you follow directions. Big place with lots of room, and well run. In the middle of the surrounding area, so a good base of operations. Would definitely stay again.

| Somewhat Overpriced.

This a very nice park though definitely overpriced. Sites are not as long as advertised. We have a 32' trailer and had to park the truck cross ways behind the rig. Easy satellite set-up. We had no problem with the noise others have mentioned. It was very quiet. WiFi was very iffy and I have a booster. This is probably due to inconsiderate people streaming movies, etc. We would stay here again.

| Very nice park

Nice park, maybe a little over priced, but you need to consider where you are at! Nice bathrooms and facilities! Had to park truck sideways with 40 ft Fever!

| A nice park

By user-5226683... on 2017-10-23.

Big park. Had clean facilities and level sites. Roads and sites gravel so kind of dusty. Had a little swatch of grass between units. Nice thing, it's close to downtown C d A. Would definitely stay here again. Lots a children so kid friendly.

| Great Stay

Last minute reservations and given an extra night too! The couple in office were a welcoming sight after an all day travel from Montana. This place is well worth the money! It is on the lake! My dogs loved it! Loved the little trails, the fairy garden, the mini bmx track So much fun for kids. If you are boating, paddle boarding or kayaking or just love being on the lake this is the ticket! And we walked to marina restaurant had a great dinner on the floating deck

Very nice park, good sized spaces for big rigs and pull throughs. Smaller spaces available as needed. Two beaches on the lake, one for people and water sports the other for pets. Our two dogs give the swimming hole a paws up. About 1 mile to downtown and good restaurants.

We stayed here over the Memorial Day holiday. It was nice and quiet until the families got back in from their softball games. They decided to play their music for the whole park to hear. Someone must have called the office before I could because someone from the office came by to tell them to tone it down. Thank you, office, for following your rules! The bathrooms and laundry facilities are great! We will stay here again when there are no softball families staying there!

Stayed elsewhere the frst 2 nights in the area but got tired of traffic nois. Went looking and found this great park on the Spokane River. No discounts other than 5% for cash. We stayed a week and throughly enjoyed park and area.

| Shade is a rarity

By user-5257144... on 2017-10-23.

It was fine for a night or two, but we'd prefer to be less crowded and less of a parking lot layout. There is some grass between the sites and it has a lovely little beach area. Definitely big rig friendly.

| Good Location but Only A Mediocre Campground

By user-4868963... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2017-08-15 to 2017-08-20

A decent campground a little overpriced IMHO. Sites are not particularly large only get a small patch of grass each. Facilities are good though, for the price, should be. Cable was poor quality and WiFi was not usable. The owners are upfront that WiFi was not guaranteed and on a as is basis. However, for the price it should be better.

It is very congested and WIFI doesn't work at all we stayed here for six days and had to move once after three days. People were very polite.

| Nice, clean park

This is a nice park. Kept up real well. Very clean. We had a river view spot and could see the river pretty good. The sites had plenty of room between each other. Nice grass and trees. The staff are cordial but I wouldn't say overly friendly. Aside from the office staff which I saw twice, the two times I went in there, and the one riding the lawnmower, never saw another staff member around the park. No one coming by to check on things, no security that I saw. I would come back again.

This is a great park. Very well kept and clean. Convenient to Coeur d'Alene and the popular bike trails. Yes, they enforce their rules, but in my opinion, that's what makes this such a nice park.

| Very nice

By user-6717551... on 2017-10-23.

This is a big beautiful park with lots of things to do for the kids and corners that are quiet for everybody else. Pull through lots are kinda short if you're measuring with a 28 foot camper behind an excursion. but we did fit make sure to bring your pressure regulators

| Very nice!

We stayed for two nights and were pleased with everything! Beautiful campground! Cable TV worked great despite some of the comments we'd read. Internet was intermittent but oh well! The hosts were awesome and gave us all kinds of information and suggestions for the area! We loved the location, easy access to everything! Facilities were great! No complaints here! We even had a momma moose and her calf right in the campground!

| Clean, close to everything

By user-5907467... on 2018-07-06.

Very well kept up, LARGE RV spaces!! Each space is gravel with huge grassy area between all sites. Wide roads very easy to get in and out. Most are pull through except close to the river. Staff does come around checking on things, I’ve seen them numerous times. Store has inexpensive souvenirs, about 1/2 of what I paid in town. Within 1-4 miles of downtown, stores restaurants. Park is very private on the Spokane River by the boat dealer. Very quiet. Only downfall is WiFi pretty much non existent.

| Nice spot

By user-4758261... on 2018-07-06.

Great location with a beach right on the water, walking distance to a restaurant and 1.5 miles to downtown. Dog friendly with a pet beach although it was flooded when we were here as the lake was high. Spotty WiFi. Clean bathrooms. Quiet.

| One star for this

By user-5907467... on 2018-07-06.

Upon check in ask for a private spot if you don’t want to be next to the “in and out” daily spots. We constantly had people coming and going each day and the entire park was about 1/5 full. We stayed 10 days so we should have been in a more private space, not next to the overnight spots.

| Gone bad.

By user-4798323... on 2018-07-06.

Great location for us but they recently jacked up the rates and have pathetic wi-fi. Time to find somewhere new.

| Pretty pricey for what they offer

By user-6393429... on 2018-07-06. Stayed 2018-06-24 to 2018-06-26

The location is close to town but getting to town is the hard part. No safe way to walk or ride a bike there since the only option is a very busy highway bridge that really needs to be redone and expanded to accommodate all the heavier traffic that is now commonplace here, at least in summer. Also, WiFi is essentially worthless and the new cable provider/system is poor at best. Price per night was high considering all the downsides. Other options in the area are far better, IMHO.

| Pricey, but I’d go back.

By user-5007731... on 2018-07-06. Stayed 2018-07-01 to 2018-07-03

About $80/night for a beachfront site. Nice swim beach on the Spokane river just upstream from the lake. Very close to downtown. Dedicated beach area for the dogs was a nice surprise. Clean and quiet. A little congested, but about what you’d expect from this close to Coeur D’Alene. Good docks for your boat and water toy rentals. Next time I’ll bring my ski boat.

By user-5274026... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-08-15 to 2018-08-17

Not very friendly, not what We expected for $80. Got in trouble for getting to close to the grass(which is all BROWN). Most of the park is small back in spots for family's. We had what was Called a PREMIUM site. 45 ft. Class A fit, but not place for car...

| Very Expensive

By user-4508877... on 2019-08-09.

While this park was somewhat nice, the rates were one of the highest we have ever paid. Cable and wifi is sketchy at best. Coupled with fairly tight spaces, and sites not paved, you just don t get a lot for your money. Will not be back.

| Good location, But.....

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

Kind of a parking lot in our opinion. Better off up the road in Blanchard. (See StoneRidge, below). Good floating restaurant nearby. Very pricey.

| Nice site, majority if the day non existent WiFi

By user-6219568... on 2019-08-09.

Location good, decent sized lots. close to river and town. Complained about the poor WiFi and was told that I need to sit outside my Motorhome on the grass and it will be fine. What was more annoying was the management treated my complain as a joke. Not interested at all in the fact that I am actually their customer. Stayed up until midnight to have enough bandwidth to write this review.

| Nice

By user-6413060... on 2019-08-09.

Good location by the Spokane River, clean and professionally run. Not much privacy & few trees between sites due to the haphazard layout of sites - both horizontal and vertical. Try to get a site on the periphery. Quiet at night in the park but some road noise. On the higher side price wise.

| The RV Park without WiFi

By user-6219568... on 2019-08-09.

Enjoyed our stay at Blackwell, easy access to the town , the Floating Restaurant and the Farmers market. During our stay we had to put our on hold our communication with friends and family because the WiFi was useless. Many hours spent with no access. It is not that we practice steaming videos, just needed social media access. Any claims that the system has been upgraded are to be taken with a pinch of salt.

| Beautiful park

Clean, plenty of room for our 44 ft coach and towed. Lovely river front. Restrooms 5 star. Great water pressure in coach. Sites well maintained. WiFi and cable need work. WiFi non-existent cable pixilated frequently.
