Came down to visit the Golden Isles. Stay here because Jekyll Island Campground was full. Really enjoyed the campground, the staff, and the area. The spaces were not too close to each other and lots of shade. Great amenities.

Seemed to be a great place. It has nice level sites and walking , bike paths etc. We got up to a leaf blower creating huge clouds of dust. I asked the guy to stop but although he did tone it down a little we put up with this until we pulled out.

| Nice Campground

By user-4930733... on 2017-10-23.

We luckily got a site when everywhere else was full. Stayed 4 nights. Sites were very nice with a concrete patio and separate slab with a picnic table. The campground is wooded a ground is sandy. We stayed here in a 19" toy hauler and would stay again if in the area. Bathhouses and laundry are nice.

| What a gem

By user-4721672... on 2017-10-23.

We wanted a place just off I95 to spend a day exploring the area. This was perfect. Clean, level sites, full hookups with cable tv. We will be back to stay longer and enjoy the park amenities.

| Great

One of nicest. Huge sites, lots of shrubbery. Concrete patio and hard unpaved roads within campground. Good, clean hookups. Wifi was very good. Clean bathhouse with good hot water. Laundry small but clean. About 10 miles to Jekyll Island, etc. County park, no discounts except monthly which is less than half.

| Excellent State Park

One of the best state patks we've been to - full hookup and paved roads for a good price. Would definitely recommend this one! We stayed in September 2015.

| Lovely park; horrible stench

By user-6727573... on 2018-03-14. Stayed 2017-11-30 to 2017-12-07

Lovely park with large spaces to accommodate any sized rig. Lots of trees, ponds, river access and several nice trails. Close enough to downtown Brunswick and within 10 miles of St. Simons and Jelyll Islands. This is a good place to stay if you can't get a spot on St. Simons. However, the huge downside to this beautiful place is the stench coming from the pulp factory across the river. This factory fires up Its "machines" and the noice is relentless along with the foul odor. We had to close our windows and put the A.C. on, even tho it was cool outside. So much for staying in the great outdoors! We won't come back.

| Sparkling Gem in Brunswick!

While making an unplanned RV trip back to our home in SC, we started calling all our typical RV sites in the Brunswick area and all were fully booked. I expanded our search a little wider and found Blythe Island and they indeed had an opening during the busy spring break week. What a surprise! It was well-maintained, with beautiful wooded sites not too close together, swimming area, excellent free wi-fi, beautiful pier and boat dock and very friendly residents and staff. This will be our go-to place from now on in the Brunswick Area! I hesitated to write a good review because I don't want this site to get too crowded once everyone finds out about it! It is only 3 miles from I-95 exit #29 and well worth the short drive.

We stayed here to visit St Simons Island...only a 30 minute drive away. Nice level site right across from the lake...kayaks and small boats to rent. Lake swimming too. Vegetation between each site for plenty of privacy. Office staff very friendly! Cute bunnies hopping all around when we pulled in and even had an armadillo wander up later!

| A walk in the woods

Very nice park in wooded area. Shady spacious sites with full hook ups have good privacy. Pull through sites are big enough for any size rig. Fire pits and picnic tables. Walking distance to lake, friendly staff and lots of bunnies roaming the area. Sites are sandy but have concrete pad/patio. Only 5 hour drive from space coast area up I95. We will return!

Awesome, wooded campground. Huge pull-through sites. Clean, including sites and bathhouses. Nature trails for biking, hiking, running. Staff was friendly. Stopped as an overnight on our way to Orlando, wished we could have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend.

| Good overnight stop

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

Very convenient stop for us, we just stayed overnight. Fairly well spaced sites, some are much better than others. Some areas are much nicer sites than others, unfortunately we were placed in one which was OK but not as good as most.

Quiet and secluded park with tons of wildlife . . . rabbits, frogs, fish, raccoons and even a small porcupine down by the lake. But beware the TICKS, lots of them. Camp host was super friendly.
