We checked out other campgrounds in Bishop and liked Brown's Millpond best. Out of town, quiet , private, great view of the mountains, only 10 minutes into town. Lots of places to cycle and walk dogs. The bathrooms were older, but clean. We enjoyed sitting by the stream. We were in site 20 which got the afternoon sun and it's very hot in Bishop in the summer. Try to choose a site that has shade in the afternoon. Really enjoyed going to Schat's Bakery and shopping at Dwayne's Friendly Pharmacy. The only negative about this campground is no sewer.

Have stayed here a dozen times. $30 electric / $25 tent. No pull thrus. Can be buggy by the horse area but it is quieter. New manager is still on a learning curve 2/2017 but still doing a good job and really nice couple. Showers use tokens $2 each for 7 minutes. Rest rooms are clean but people are pigs some times. Magee creek runs thru every site. Nice to cool off the feet as it is a just feet wide and not deep.

Quiet - shade trees- Creek running through it - Susie ( manager ) is personal able and great to work with - great walking trails for our dog - First time staying here but we will definitely be back - 1 1/2 miles north of Bishop - Stayed here for 3 wonderful days May 1-4, 2018 .
