Reviews for Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort

By user-803001 on 2017-10-23.

Beautiful stretch of pristine beach. Camp itself is on the older side. Closely parked RVs and mobile homes. Not much in the way of trees. Pool appears to be seasonal only. We did not stay here but last looked at it Feb., 2013.

Beautiful views. Tight for big rigs and some owners have built covered decks which are nice but can prevent exit from pull throgh sites.

| On road trip.... nice place to come across

Let's start by saying what an incredible facility. Yes some others have complained about price.... yes on high side of rv resorts. ..... The more or less private beach and peaceful and immaculate grounds make it a great value. While heartedly recommend and definitely will be back. Power hookup sewage disposal cable fresh water at every site.

| Nice place getting nicer!

We totally enjoyed our stay here! Yes, it's tight to get your big rig around in the park but coaches larger than our 39 footer are doing it so there must be enough room, right? One bathroom was out dated but still adequately clean. The bathroom by the small pool was brand new and the showers were great. If you like the beach access you are at the right place. I think there are 4 beach access point from the park and you are right on the beach to enjoy the ocean. While the price is a bit on the high side for RVing, it's a small price and bargain if you compare getting a hotel right on the beach. We observed maintenance crews daily cleaning up the park and making upgrades to make it a better place than it already is. We hope to make it back there at some point (it's 1000+ miles away from us) as we enjoyed every aspect of our visit there. I think it's a great place to consider if you are passing thru, have a week to stay or can spend weeks or months out and about.

| Very good location

Park looks great upon arrival. Streets and sites are very tight. Beautiful beach. Did not use pool but they looked nice. I found the bathrooms dirty and in need of updating. Staff and other campers very pleasant. Price is good. Lots of restaurants near by.

| Love the beach access!

By user-6329650... on 2017-10-23.

This was one of the nicest places we've stayed. We have a 35 foot RV. The site we were on was a cement pad and had a small patio space and a large covered deck. The community is quiet and we liked that there were not tons of kids riding around in golf carts (we like kids, but not in golf carts). Others posted that they disliked the "permanent" homes but we found them to be pretty well kept and each unique depending on rental or the owner. Honestly that's what set this park apart from the others we've stayed at. There is a good sense of welcoming community here. We never use many amenities... There is a heated pool as well as hot tub in one area and a large pool in another area. The dog play area is very large, with shaded and sunny areas. We walked our dogs many times a day and were greeted with smiles and hellos throughout. The beach gates are easy to access with a simple code (three roman numerals and printed on the flier we received at check in) and the ease of getting on and off the beach made our trip such great fun. The beach itself is very wide and allows dogs. Just beautiful!

We had an awesome stay 4 nights in a 34' fifth wheel. Google earth should be used to pick your site. Many are very very tight. We had several small kids with us so site 11 was our pick so we had a small yard for them to play in. Everyone was very very nice. We took our small dog and everyone is very dog friendly as most everyone had dogs. Many permanent trailers but they are all very well kept. Pools needed a little cleaning and that actually happened while we were there the last day. Showers, bathhouse, and laundry were all nicely kept.

This is NOT big rig friendly. Roads are very narrow and not kept up-many pot holes. The sites are very small and tight and also flood when it rains. It appears they have not done much to improve the park. Many, many full time people living there.

| Great Location - nice sites

Location for this park is excellent - just walk across a boardwalk over the dunes and you are on the beach. A short drive into St Augustine, but not that long. Sites were really nice. Paved and level and many of them had some type of hard site patio structure built. The one we had even had a small shower to clean sand off after you had been to the beach. Really friendly staff. A bit on the pricey side, but you are on the beach.

Nice but tight sites close to water & to downtown to lion bridge & the fort. The staff was nice but the laundry was not a/c was 98 so go at night. Nice little patios

| Really nice place

By user-6238113... on 2017-10-23.

I would give it a five but it's really tight to get into with a MH. Our site was near the beach access and was great. The internet here is actually good....a rare event for campgrounds. Clean, quiet and friendly staff and neighbor's....we are parked on a concrete pad that is level....would certainly stay here again.

| Nice But Expensive

Since Anastasia State Park was closed due to the hurricane, we drove down the road to Bryn Mawr. This park is mostly for full-timers, but it was a welcome stop for our first glimpse of a white-sand Florida beach. The price options are $80 on the water, $73 inside and $65 on the outside. Add tax and we paid $71, which is a bit more than we usually pay. However, they have many amenities--two beautiful swimming pools, nice laundry and showers, and of course, the beach. Wifi was weak, maybe because of the storm?

| Great beach location

This is an awesome location. Wonderful beach. Facilities are a little tired, but I still would come back here.

By user-4616873... on 2017-10-23.

Very nice. Clean and friendly. We backed our 40 foot to the beach spot. Tight streets as most there are permanent. Pool and hot tub were clean. Would stay again.

| Great Improvements

Stayed only one night at Bryn. We had a great time and very pleasant helpful interactions with staff. From the first time I called until check out Colleen was very friendly. She helped me narrow down which site to reserve on the phone and I called multiple times and she never got irritated. When we checked in she remembered me and we chatted a bit. The roads are not paved and Can be narrow I can see why big rigs would have problems but with our 24' pop up we had no issues. It is obvious they are making improvements around the park which may bother some but what has been finished is great! Both pools and the bath house we used were clean and really nice! Yes there are a lot of park model homes but are well kept and just pay attention to the map when reserving. The beach access was the best thing! We stayed in site 167. Cheaper than Ocean Front but very close to the access. Check out was a breeze and Colleen even remembered it was my birthday!

How can you not like this place? Right on the beach, great facilities and friendly staff. Don’t understand why anyone would go less than five stars! Our fourth visit. Kim

| Perfect location.

Yes the roads are narrow but be selective about your site if you're worried about maneuvering/parking. We had a 36' fifth wheel and paid a little more to be on the beach. We also ensured via googlemaps that we picked the easiest spot, #224, to maneuver. Also, had a concrete pad as most of the campground is on sand.

Site# 154 Nice place/site with huge covered patios and level cement pads and great beach. FHU worked great, but water pressure seemed low. Site #154 is conveniently located to the heated pool as well as ocean access. No golf carts, so a bike would be beneficial to explore the campground. Will definitely return.

| Best Beach

By user-5774785... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-11-17 to 2018-11-19

Best Beach, nice pool and hot tub. Access roads are tight however, would not be a problem if the onsite maintenance would do their job and Keep the trees and bushes trimmed. There are more than enough staff. No matter if you have a $20k rig or a $600k rig, none of us enjoy scratching our rigs up due to un-trimmed trees and bushes. This is an RV park. They do 1 thing, Cater To RV s so they need to understand their market.
