Obviously for military personnel or veterans only. Make sure you go through the Mississippi gate (intersection of E. Mississippi St. and Aspen Street) not the sixth Street gate. Once you go through gate go three stop signs and turn right onto steamboat; continue on steamboat and family camp will be on your left. Water available in campground but not at every site. This has been a year long problem but will start getting fixed in September 2017. Most sites are pull through...some back in. Host on site is very nice...check in is through outdoor recreation which you will pass on your way to the family camp. We parked our rig and then went back to outdoor adventure to check in. Reservations are strongly encouraged as there are long term campers. Bike trail right next to family camp. There are no trees so satellite is good however you will not find shade.

They just had one site available and only for one night but luckily that was all we needed. The laundry is free, but their are only two washers and one working dryer. Sites were fairly spacious and a lot of them are pull through. The gate Google maps was sending us through was closed but the Mississippi & Aspen gate is 24/7. Would definitely stay again.

| A Nice Stay

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-09-19 to 2018-09-21

The Famcamp , located on the base was spacious with easy pull-through sites. There were full hook-ups and a clean bathhouse. The laundry was free although limited washers. We were able to stay an extra day and get caught up with laundry and shopping on the base. Then jet noise was loud as it is located near the runway, but er enjoyed watching the planes and they did not fly at night. We would definitely return.
