This park now has really great roads and RV sites. All of the roads have been freshly paved and the RV sites are concrete with easy hookups. The sites do not have a sewer dump, but there is one centrally located dump station on site. The lake has canoe and kayak rentals too. Nice place.

Stopped here on our way from Houston to Austin for a 3 night stay in January 2018. Friendly staff and well kept park. Quiet at night, lots of owls and colorful birds. Utilities were clean. Paid $17 per night for a spot with water and electricity included. There is a daily entry fee of $5 per person per day so that made it $27 per night for us but it was totally worth it and I’d come back again if I’m passing through.

We love TPWD and their parks across Texas. We decided to drop in at Buescher SP to see if they had availability. The Ranger at the headquarters was very nice and accommodating. She sound us an RV site for one night in a great spot along the lake, Site 19. The location was a little circle drive, set back. It offered a deep enough drive for our truck and 24' RV. The hook up was 30 amp with water. Single dump station nearby. Site also had a fire ring and grill, as well as a picnic table. There was ample greenery between the sites to offer a sense of privacy. The area were at also had mini cabins. If we had our kayaks it would have been perfect. We missed some of the trails, only being able to go on one which was pretty nice. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. Park hosts were nice as were our neighbors. All in all a great park. Only draw back is that it is still so close to Hwy 71 that there was quite a bit of road noise. That was the only negative.
