While the web site focuses on the lodge, I expected the RV park to be as good as the lodge looked online. The web site indicates that the RV park was only "built 2 years ago". I can't believe that. Most of the "RVs" here are dug in for the long term, and they all appear to have been here more than two years. We asked for a pull-thru in which we could park without having to unhook for the night. We almost fit into the one assigned to us without either end sticking out. The site next to us was a bit longer, though. It would have helped if the sewer hook-up in our site were not flat underneath where the RV wheels needed to roll (see picture - rocks under rig mark the sewer hookup) to fit between the electric/water and the concrete pad on which a dilapidated wooden picnic table sat on the other side. We didn't try the cable TV , so I can't say how good that is. The WiFi was good the little bit we used it, but then we were close to the lodge. The good news is that we had water and electric for the night when temps were still in the low 90s at 8 p.m,. The looks of the place were extremely disappointing as was the upkeep. I'm glad we hadn't counted on using the picnic table. Ours was awful, but it was not the most dilapidated in the campground. The area around the pond, which is not as nice as pictured on the web site, is actually dangerous, with holes surrounding the wooden deck on the edge of the pond. As far as I can tell, there are no restrooms or showers available to the campground, so you need to be self-contained. The bottom line is that this was a stop to plug into power, so we could stay cool, but not an appealing or enjoyable place to stay. I, personally, found $30/night to be a bit high for the benefits received. The two stars are for FHU and usuable WiFi.
