They have clean and free showers, reasonably priced and are a great place to stay. If you are a NM resident get an annual pass for $100 and reg sites are free and elec/water are $4. Nice!

Nice shady area. The full hookup sites are by reservation only. Off season you'll be fine without reservation. The sewer hookups are to the rear so make sure you have at least 30' of hose. Make sure you have the elevator legs for your sewer line because the sewer pipe is up and over a railroad tie which doesn't make for easy draining.

| Sweet Riverside Park

We stayed at the riverside park which is more sheltered and shaded than its sister lakeside park which is more windy, no shade but has access to the lake above the dam. Over the Nemorial Day weekend there were few sites left unoccupied and the park was full of families in trailers and tents. But the park easily accommodate d us all. It never felt cramped or noisy. Would definitely stay here again. Good park hosts. Great birding in the park.

| No multiple day walk ins as of early June

Recommend calling ahead. Pulled in june 6 expecting same day walk ins per reserveamerica. Apparently just changed to all reserve but seemed to be some confusion. Looks like still walk in for one night then must reserve if greater than one day out or multiple days. The camp host was nice and found us a spot. Stallion 32 was very nice. Great mountain views and nice spacious sites with rock walled shelter. Other loops like Appaloosa and Palomino a bit tighter together but still nice. Tmobile up and down slow but usable at 8 pm. Verizon hotspot weak but could still stream

It was ok. Dont expect help when checking in. All the gates had kids working who apparently dont want to work. We stayed riverside and wasnt told it was down the road...drove threw looking for spot then went back and asked the girl working where the site was.....she said "oh, that site isnt here...its down the road turn left and ask the person in the shack" really...and you didnt tell us this first...why? Response was just oh well and closed the window. So, ask all questions dont expect them to tell you ..anything. Other than that, sites are gravel, water and sewer hook ups worked fine. Our site didnt have much shade but not an issue.
