| Spectacular view.

This is our favorite campground on the river, the view is spectacular and this is one of the only parks that allow small dogs. We camped here in a fifth wheel .

We loved our stay at Camp Huaco Springs during Spring Break 2016. We parked our RV with a view of the river. The wide spaces have hook-ups on both sides so you can pull in or back into spots. A concrete pad with picnic table and charcoal grill gives you a nice patio area. The views are amazing and the staff was friendly and helpful. We can't wait to go back.

Nice campgroung, good views. But unlevel lot and cigarette butts everywhere. Wife picked up a bag of butts. For the price campground should be cleaner.

The owners here are so disconnected, that it is ridiculous. No one cares about or for the guests. We got no info when we checked in. By the time we realized that we had no wifi password, the office was closed. No worries, it only works right near the store anyway, and the cellular signal was adequate. What offended me most is how close the sites are. There were four empty spaces on both sides of us for the first two days. We had a great view of the river. Then, they placed a mega RV directly next to us, even though there were dozens of other empty spots. Their slide out is now less than six inches from ours. No more fresh air or view of the river, for no good reason! Instead of $60 for an overnight sardine spot, come play for the day in their beautiful picnic area, and then camp somewhere else!

This location is actually beautiful. The tent camp area and stream feeding into the river are very nice and shaded. Want to have your mind blown, walk by slot 13 and take a look at that parking job! How in the world did that happen. We backed into spot 7 which was a tad challenging with the cement base of the light post but that was the only negative. From the back deck of the toy hauler we had a perfect view of the river. It was gorgeous. There are many full timers there. The office/store closes at 6pm. I thought that was a little early and reason for only four stars. Staff was nice. The exits have tiger teeth/tire spikes that only let you exit one direction. Just be mindful. ATT cellular users beware, you may not have any service. I personally dont see that as a problem if you can use WiFi calling. I have a Verizon hot spot so it was fine. We picked up lots of local channels for the TV. Place was clean. Pads are nice but our spot wasn't super level. Also not a big deal with auto leveling. Check out is noon. They ask you to pick up cigarette butts and trash. Dogs allowed on leash. Extra vehicles at your spot may be subject to an extra fee. Honestly, I loved this camp. Everyone is friendly, its quiet and scenic. There is the River Road Ice House Bar at the T in the road that leads to camp. Spring and summer I have no doubts these camps are booked solid and way more active. Will surely go back!!
