We went when the berries nearby were ripe. Every day we walked to the downtown area, along the pier to see jelltfish, sea lions, etc, up the berm to where the berries were, stopping to pick enough for the day and back to camp. We stayed for a week and never got tired of it. Our rig is just a pop-up camper, truck and small boat/trailer, so we had plenty of room. Each site has a picnic table, there are shower rooms, a laundry room, a big ramada and plenty of shade. We hope to stay there again some day.
If you don't fish just keep driving ! Spots are so small your on top of each other who ever set up the the hook ups must have been drinking so if you don't fish this place is not for you! I'm not coming back that's for sure and I fish. Hope this saves you from setting right next to three big dogs and five unruly kids like we put up with.
We stayed at Thanksgiving and thought it was nice enough. The facilities are nothing fancy but clean. Downtown is walking distance and very cute.
It was what you expect from a harbor facility. Everything you need but nothing fancy and a bit tight. My only complaint is the sewer connection is all the way at the back of the site and you will need an extension hose. Did not use the shower, restrooms, laundry or wifi.
I thought it was a good campground. Lots of people with boats, which is to be expected. As for the fish smell mentioned by another reviewer -- I did not smell anything other than normal ocean/marina smells (which I like). Close walk into the downtown area and I enjoyed the seals on the docks. I would definitely stay here again. Good price too.
Large level gravel sites. Full hookups. Beautiful river sites. Walking distance close to old town Florence. Great restaurants and shopping. Staff very nice. Quiet at night.
If I returned, I would only stay here if I could get a site on the B row which faces the river. All sites are small, gravel but sites not on river only offer a location to park very close to a nice town with some interesting places. Having said that, I was lucky to get a site here after calling many places in the area about 10 days in advance. An ok place for a 2 night stay to see the cool town.
