Reviews for Candy Cane RV Park

| Great place to stay

Nice place to stay, owners are awesome and very accommodating. 5 dollars for a wheelbarrow full of wood! Let me pick any spot. Stayed with them pretty early in the season. The woman's restroom wasn't really ready and still under construction, but the men's was brand new and spotless. The fixtures weren't up for the mini golf course but we were told that we could go play

Yes it is just getting underway. But the gravel sites are level, everything is new and super clean. Verizon is weak but doable. Electric and water is just $20. Woman's bath not quite done but men's is new and clean.

What a delightful experience!!! Clean, quiet well kept park. Owner is a hard worker, always doing something to make the park better. Perfect time of year to visit. They had a cute Christmas village with lots of Christmas lights. Would love to stay here again if ever in the area!

I think I have had less traffic a Wal-Mart's. Some interesting full timers..... Not in a good way more of I swear I heard banjos playing.

| Quiet, Clean, and Friendly Campground

Ms. Shirley and Bill are very nice folks. This small family-owned campground is clean, quiet, and offers quite a bit. It has some of the best WiFi I've seen in a campground - I can only think of a handful as good. The pool is small but clean and cheerful. There are plenty of play areas for kids, including mini-golf. The laundry is small, but available for use instead of having to drive elsewhere. Wood is available for sale, and each site has a picnic table and fire pit. FHU sites are limited, but those sites are pretty large and level pull-thrus. The back-in sites, for the most part, have good shade. The only real drawback to the campground is a result of one of the other benefits of the RV Park: location. The campground is located in a beautiful area near the Mark Twain National Forest, Meramec River, etc. in the northern Ozarks. Because of this, cell signal is not so good. We have AT&T and Verizon; AT&T is best. I mention this not as a criticism of the campground, but for informational purposes. The owner obviously made great effort to provide a good WiFi service to help off-set the lack of good cell signal in the area. I'd happily stay here again when in the area. (Note: There is no cable, but I did not take off stars for that because cable was not listed as a service provided.)

Reasonable prices but pull through, full hook up sites were narrow. More than enough room for slides but no safe spot for a campfire. Our fire pit was a few feet away from our vehicle. There are only a few full hook up sites. Some (not all) had concrete pads. Our site had mud.
