One of the nicest privately owned RV parks I've ever stayed in. Feels more like a state park. The staff is super friendly and their are cabins available also. The on site restaurant is incredible, but a little pricey. One of the most dog friendly places I've ever been to. My only issue, although minor, is that all the sights are back in.

Clean and well managed. A little pricey but you do get great restaurant and view of the lake at the main complex. $47 full hook up, off season.

We just got back from a four night stay in the RV park at the Canyon of the Lost Eagles. This park is pretty, aesthetically pleasing but that's where the charm ends. This park is run by a resort "company" called Caliber. No matter where you stay in the park, you are charged a $6.00 per person, per day "resort users fee", plus Texas state sales tax on each charge. They don't tell you this when you make a reservation. When we checked out we also were charged a $6.00 plus tax, reservation fee. When I asked what that was for, the clerk stated, "for making a reservation". This is on top of an unusually high camp site rate of $49.00 per night. This organization is gouging the public for every penny they can. The restaurant is extremely expensive and so understaffed you have to make a reservation and they won't serve you or seat you if you arrive early. They have 2 waitresses to cover the entire restaurant. There is NOTHING upscale about this restaurant. The waitresses are FULL of attitude and not friendly at all. The restrooms in the RV area are woefully old and outdated. There is nothing to stand on in the shower, there is nothing to sit on or put your clothing on. The door on the one that I was using was rotted at the bottom and nothing to prevent animals, bugs, etc... from setting up shop. On top of all this, the plumbing is equally outdated and I wound up taking a COLD shower. There was no hot water. I would not recommend this campground to anyone, it was truly a frustrating and awful experience! Also, the grass is full of prickly stickers. Our dogs suffered and had to be carried unless there was blacktop for them to walk on.

| Great place for fun weekend!

The scenery is beautiful and the resort is well run and efficient. Not many RV sites, and we were in #17, which was nowhere close to being level....took some engineering and lots of blocks (along with auto levelers) to get set up. Restaurant, bar and amazing views are all within walking 5 minutes. Miles and miles of trails to hike with your family....probably something you want to do here in the winter / spring time...not summer. No Wi-Fi at RV resort, but 3 bars on VZ LTE. Beautiful (if a bit windy) drive into the resort. We will certainly be coming back again. Oh, at the restaurant (dinner reservations required)....order the wild boar....not the steak.

Beautiful property with lake Buchanan access. Miles of hiking and biking trails with astronomy and nature programs on the weekends. Camping area filled with trees and a short walk away is the resort area with restaurant and pool. Looking forward to camping there again.
