Reviews for Canyonlands RV Resort & Campground

| Right in town

By user-5847450... on 2018-06-27.

Nice shady place right in town. It is a little cramped. Eveything in walking distance. Only flaw is noise from the main road.

| Clean but tight

We enjoyed our one-night stay here but the space was VERY tight and hardly any grass / dirt areas for dogs; unless you want to walk way down to the bottom tent area, and who wants to do that at night. Otherwise the views are very pretty and everything was nice and clean.

Very Nice people, big shade trees, in the center of town and close to everything. The showers were clean. We gave it only 3 stars because it is very difficult to get in and out of. Parking for tow vehicles is limited and a lot of them blocked the drive toward the exit this morning. Wouldn't recommend this park for anything over 30 feet.

| Great facilities, including lots of cosy trees (= shade in hot periods)

+ great, friendly staff and clean facilities. Loved the stay, too bad of the price increase

| Very crowded sites

By user-5770977... on 2018-06-27. Stayed 2016-10-03 to 2016-10-06

The turn-in for the campground is adjacent to the parking lot for a convenience store, so if someone at the store has poorly parked you are screwed. Then, if the check-in line-up is long, your tow could easily still remain in the store parking lot. And, the streets at the resort are very narrow and the sites are small. Because I was traveling solo, I had to request the assistance of a staff member to maneuver in and out (without the toad attached). But, it is close to town if that is a requirement. I would be reluctant to stay again.

This is the the worst park that we have ever stayed in. Probably built in the 60's for station wagons pulling small trailers....but now they have stuffed it with big rigs with toads. All spots are so narrow that opening your slides is a serious concern. Spots are only 40 ft. Long and leave no room for your tow rig. We would never stay here again or recommend this place to anyone. There are many great RV operations in Moab.....we will not return.

| Small pits, shady, dirty pool.

By user-5799054... on 2018-06-27.

Nice place to stay for one or two days. Full hookup, bit expensive and really small sites. Have a 33 ft RV and with slides out almost no place left to sit outside. In high season the pool is a no go area (for adults) but even my 12 year old refused to get in. It's like a crowded toilet for children. Laundry facilities are good and inexpensive.

This is a very nice RV park with mature trees shading the RV sites (didn't notice the tent areas). We stayed here a second night here which we hadn't intended because it was clean, comfortable and easy. Our pull-thru side the first night was gravel. The second night we asked for a concrete pad (my husband had to do some work underneath the RV) and were accommodated. The bath/shower building was a very short walk and it was clean and well lighted. We were traveling with dogs and a walking area was close by (you can walk on a path down by the river). The park is right on Main Street but was very quiet and we didn't hear road noise. There is a nice pool which we used. Office staff were efficient and pleasant. All facilities appeared well kept.

| Great Location and Shady

This is a great facility right in town, clean with plenty of trees and a nice pool. The sites are quite small. We had no problems with a 32 ft motor home and we saw bigger rigs, but I imagine it could be tricky to manoeuvre. Highly recommend this place.

One day stay, very good, everything was clean. Friendly staff, Pool clean. Cheap laundry with dryers. We made a walk to the city in 10 minutes for buying some souvenirs.

| Talk about tight!

By user-5827104... on 2018-06-27. Stayed 2017-09-21 to 2017-09-22

I figured people were exaggerating about the tight spacing, because frankly, all RV parks seem too close. However, this place really IS tight, and we have a small rig! After disconnecting our truck from our 21' trailer, we barely had room to park the truck. We couldn't open the trailer door and truck door at the same time! On the positive side, the restrooms and showers were in good condition. Nice shade trees in a fenced-in lot. Wifi seemed to work fine. We paid $61 with a Good Sam discount--a little pricey, but it was the only place we could find on short notice.

| Nice, clean, nearby, friendly

Nice RV park. Very close to the center of Moab. Clean restrooms, very kind staff. We stayed an extra night because we liked it so much and there was so lot to do in Moab. $45 a night. Just perfect!

| NO CARE FROM STAFF

By user-5853818... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-08-06 to 2018-08-09

Probably not going to stay here again. Staff was short and curt. Pool is way too small for the accommodations. Pictures are deceiving. Great place for dust lovers!

10 minutes to Arches National Park and walking distance to all the awesome little shops and restaurants of Moab. This place is right in the middle of it all. The spaces are not as tight as previous reviews. Yes if you drive a 40 foot motor home towing a Jeep then it might be tight but at the same time what isn t going to be tight when you bring your whole house on vacation. We fit our 25 ft Airstream into the space nicely and parked truck next to trailer. Some people might not want to be in town but after a month being off the grid this was awesome for us. Can t comment on the bathrooms as I use the one in my rig but laundry room has plenty of machines and was clean. Pool looked like a lot of fun for kids as there is a dripping fountain thing with buckets. There is also a park attached that is great for walking dog and we saw a deer. General store on site as well with gas, food, beer, etc... This place is so convenient!!!
